One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Non slip in the boat, breathable, arch support.... very well designed shoe. Planning on ordering another pair as a back up.

These are excellent shoes but we gave them to our nephew because they aren't wide enough for my husband. He wears a wide shoe and we were hoping they would be wide enough but they weren't. I would recommend these to people who don't have wide feet.

Have been wearing Columbia PFG 'Flow through shoes' for years, these have the great fit and feel of high end running shoes - but they still drain water right through the sole but better than previous iterations. Love these shoes.

I bought these specifically to use on my paddle board, and wow, what a difference. No more numb feet! I did add my own insoles, which are far more cushioned than the one that comes in the Megavent, but the tradeoff is that the aftermarket ones limit the water venting some - but not enough to be a bother, it just takes a little longer to drain.

Great shoe for spending all day on the boat. Very comfortable, non slip white sole provides great traction wet or dry and doesn't leave even a scuff mark. Drains quickly and dries fairly fast.

Love the shoe but I have an issue with the lacing system. The shoe should come with a lock type of lacing. I use these for water aerobics and walking on the beach. Despite trying to tie the shoes many ways, I can't find a knot that stay tied for more than a couple of minutes. Have a lock type of laces would allow a quick and easy on and off WITHOUT having shoe laces untie and flop around. This is my only criticism and why I rated it Very Good instead of Excellent. I shoe that is in water need a lace system that doesn't untie.

Wore these for a week long fishing trip. Only fished 5 hours each morning. Provided very good traction on the boat deck. Cushioning was average. The shoes ran a bit small and run a bit tight up front in the forefoot area even after loosening the laces. My suggestion would be to try them on the make sure you are ok with them being snug in that area. The bungee cord laces were pretty cool and did not come undone while I was fishing and waking around the boat and dock. Could not test the water draining on the shoes cause I did not step in big puddle of water, but will update this info if I do. Only thing I really would recommend that Columbia did with the shoes is add better cushioning and maybe go a tiny bit larger in the forefoot area. Maybe some new colors.

I purchased these to replace my Columbia Drainmaker III shoes for kayaking, which are getting worn out. Those were the perfect kayaking shoes. Drainmaker IVs had a smaller toebox and rubbed my pinkie toes.
The Megavent II shoes are nicely cushioned, but they have some hard plastic right along the pinkie toe area, which rub a raw spot on the skin.
Come on, Columbia, bring back the Drainmaker III!

This is a very confortable shoe and performs mostly as described. However, laces need significant improvement. I hope they return these megavent shoes to the lacing "no tie" speed lacing system that were on past model of boating/water/fishing shoes. The current laces either come easily untied or are imposibble to untie when knotted after attempts to tightly secure the laces. need the same laces as the past model Megavent Fly, which are no longer available. They also need to offer more color options AFTER they improve the lacing system. I fish more than 200 days a year and have worn out several pairs of past models that are more preferred.

bought a pair of these for myself for boat shoes also bought a pair for my wife the shoes are good except for the insole the hole cut for the drains are very rough cut and cause blisters after about 30 min of wearing on both myself and my wife I have some of the older rainmaker style shoes they have a much better insole that has a mesh over the hole I would skip these and get the rainmakers instead
