I needed a lightweight jacket for spring and fall, and I took advantage of the healthcare discount to splurge on this. It arrived just over two weeks ago. The fit is perfect, enough wiggle room to move, vented armpits are a plus, and it's lightweight. Feels like you're wearing nothing, while keeping you warm in light breezes or those slightly chilly days. Plus, the zippers and pockets are sturdy and well-designed. My only grief is my color choice. I got the tin gray, because most of my outerwear is black or dark brown, and I wanted something less dreary, but versatile. After two days of wear, literally to and from work on 2 separate days, the sleeves have blackened edges around the cuffed sleeves and straps, and darkened torso and neck seams. I wore this on chilly, but nice weather days, overcast and breezy, but not raining, and I was engaging in these activities: walking 6 seconds to my car, driving 10-15 mins to work, walking 100 yds into work without carrying anything but a clean, off the shoulder bag, then walking back to my car and driving home at the end of the shift. Not sure where these discolorations came from, but it makes me disappointed in myself for splurging on this and ultimately choosing a product with a short lifespan.

This is a replacement for my second Resolve 2 jacket. It really is the perfect rainy weather jacket for warmer climates. It is very light, soft and beautiful! You'd be better off layering in cooler areas as this jacket is non insulating. Also. The fit is snug, so if you're planning on layers go bigger.

Really love this jacket. Its lightweight and hugs my curves without being too tight. I would say get your usual size. It goes past my but but has drawstrings so I can draw it up and make it tighter at the bottom. It also has adjustable cuffs which is a plus for skinny wrist. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the logo isn't stitched which is a huge bummer. For reference im 5'5, 190lbs, and a 38H bra. Im curvy with a 35 inch waist. It's a little big in the waist but you can't tell. The jacket has a slight hour glass shape to it that makes it flattering. Im warm in it. It has a smooth feel to it. Im in Chicago so it works good with the Denali 2 jacket for colder days or wearing it alone for 50 degree days

I ordered the Allproof Stretch Jacket in Gardenia white and size XL and the jacket is so nice! The fit is very flattering even in white! The material is not like the Resolve 2 or Venture 2 jackets with that noisy material (I previously had a Resolve 2 jacket). That was important to me as well as breathability. This jacket has all of that and I love throwing it on over a sweatshirt in mild 50 degree rainy weather. I did have to go up in size, my usual North Face size is Large and I got the XL since this is a slim fit jacket.

Pros: I really like the silhouette of this jacket. I'm also tall, so it's hard to find a jacket that has long enough sleeves. This fits me perfectly! Cons: It's 54 degrees out and windy (feels like temperature is 49 degrees) and I'm still very cold! This is not windproof at all, and I'm very disappointed that I spent so much on something that doesn't work. If I still had the labels, I would have returned it for a different one by now

I'm not really one to review products but I think this jacket has a major flaw to it... My husband has a TNF GTF Flex jacket that he looooooves so when I needed a new rain jacket I decided to give TNF a try. When I tried this on in stores I loved how lightweight and stylish it was, but I was surprised by how thin and stretchy the material is (worries that it could easily tear or get a hole in it if I wasn't careful). Since it was my favorite option I ultimately got it, and loved it for the first month. I wore it all the time (and even still do because I haven't gotten another), but about a month in I discovered what I would consider a serious defect. The jacket has holes. Not intentional ones, but multiple small holes all over the torso and even one on the arm. The jacket isn't tight on me and I'm careful how I treat it (even though it says it's for hiking and I really shouldn't need to be). Even still, there are little holes. Unfortunately, the point of a rain jacket is to keep you dry so holes are kind of a problem. I'm disappointed that I haven't had a better experience with TNF (like I said, my husband is obsessed with his jacket), but life goes on. I'm sure I'll keep using it until I get around to finding a better one.

I like the slight slimming effect of the jacket. It does its job well. However, I do find it rather pricey and would warn others to keep that in mind.

Wore to Disney and was surprised at how much I could carry in pockets. Water bottle and umbrella in one and cell phone for easy access. Love this! Tied around waist when warm and hood stayed on nicely when it cooled off. Love!!!!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I love this jacket! It is soft and the Cayenne Red color is nicer in person. I do not like how it fits on the model. If you size up and allow a looser fit it looks awesome! I bought two— (one to leave at my vacation home) — try it you will love the feel— I often wear a lightweight down vest under if it’s chilly.

We bought this coat for my mom who is very active! She said that she has been trying to find a jacks like this for years and haven't been able too. She said "North Face nailed this jacket!" She said "It's light weight but yet keeps you warm but not overly warm, there is plenty of room for movement and it's helpful since she is a runner and rides bikes and is super active. She does suggest going up a size because it runs SMALL." She absolutely LOVES this jacket and HIGHLY suggests it!!

I purchased this jacket since I noticed the forecast for the half marathon I was running called for rain and temps in the low 40s. This jacket kept me warm and dry the entire 2+ hours I was on the course. I didn't get overheated at all either. The jacket had plenty of room and didn't feel constricting at all. It was lightweight and easy to pack. I am very pleased with this purchase. The jacket saved the day!

This is a great jacket for biking and hiking in windy mild weather and ready for rain. Love the under arm zips to keep cool while still not getting unzipped. The hood is great to keep rain off.

Was out in a terrible rainstorm and the coat kept me nice and dry everywhere . Right near the hands my wrists both got wet a little . The hood has a little cap on it which was nice for Shielding from the rain . I had to get a size up in it

This is a great jacket! The material is soft and does not crackle/crunch. It repels water well. It is slim fit but can also wear a sweatshirt underneath.

Absolutely love that it's a little bit longer, little bit stretchy and a very soft fabric. I have four North face jackets and it's my favorite. Thanks hubby for buying it for my birthday.
