Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. He immediately stuffed it to see what kind of capacity it had, and it just seemed to keep growing. We often take weekend trips with our dog, and this bag is perfect when hauling our stuff and the dog's. The shoulder straps are nice for carrying to/from the car and through the airport. It's a good size for a carryon bag and could easily fit a week's worth of clothing. My only complaint is the end pocket could be bigger for storing boots, etc.

I just love the high quality of these bags and how easy to travel with they are. You can fit a lot more in there than it seems at first glance. Wouldn't recommend bigger size than medium tho, because then they start becoming too bulky and heavy to carry..

Great bag. I have briggs and riley and they are nice and fancy and expensive. This bag is one you know will be lasting and durable and protect your stuff.

This bag is great for a weekend trip or a longer one. I used it for a 2 week trip. The backpack functionality makes it great for walking through an airport or walking across a beach.

Love that you carry or use as a back pack.

I am so amazed with this bag. I got it in kokomo green maze print. Was easy to identify. Easy to pick up with so many handles, adjustment buckles are quite manageable when i have to tighten and loosen it when I wore it as backpack. For my 2 weeks trip i was able to fit in a month worth of clothes actually. I am a very organize packer and rolling all my clothes neatly. I was able to include 1 fluffy coat, jacket and jumper other than my trousers, shirts and blouses. I was able to put 2 footwears! On top of that! Very pleases with the capacity of this bag.

Great quality, would recommend for weekend trips... Perfect size for carry on!

Awesome duffel.. I love this thing I've carried north face duffels all over the world it will always be my go to bag. Great product 5 stairs.

Really great gift my husband already had the large but needed something just a bit smaller for shorter trips & this couldn't be more perfect!

I've had the L for about 10 years and it looks like it can give me another 10. I decided to buy the XS its a perfect carry on. I'm sure I'll this one will last many years as well. Thanks North Face

This is a quality made and basic duffle. I use this daily to go to the gym but originally ordered it to take with another Northface duffle for a trip. Living in Seattle I needed a small duffle that I wouldn't have to worry about anything getting wet.

Great as a carry on when flying or just a take along bag for a short trip/vacation.

This item can be used everyday as on weekend trips and hikes. It is the perfect size for its category and seems to be able to support you for several decades. It will handle all you need and is really confortable to carry. The only regret I have is that the front pocket is a little bit small for nowadays smartphones or papers. I already recommended it to a lot of friends and plan to get one of the big ones for long travels purpose.

It's a great size, perfect for carry-on luggage. It weighs next to nothing and is pretty easy to carry. My only annoyance is that the zippers are extremely stiff (same problem as on my large base camp duffel). An excessive amount of force and/or lining up of the zips is required to close the bag in particular.

Exceptional quality, great use as a backpack. A little hard to use as a backpack when fully stuffed, but no major issues.

Great for short trips. I have the large version too, but it's just too big for weekend trips. This one's great for that.

I use the bag for a daily bag for uni and gym! Its also the only one except the XS size that is carry on compatible- perfect size!

I own this duffel in almost all the sizes. Perfect bag to travel with on airplanes and just weekend getaways. Very durable and has plenty of room. Wouldn't use any other bag.

When I order this duffel I wasn't sure about the color (DEPTH GREEN/VENOM YELLOW), but as soon as I saw it I felt in love with it! It is a great bag for the weekends and you can take it with you on board the plane.

This bag is incredble. The old The north face basecamp duffle was a good bag. but in this version they fixed almost everything I did not like about the first. in this new updated version you will notice: Smooter zipper YKK slider and pull (lack the padlock option however) changed the spot for the carrying handle, not in the middle of your back anymore, score! finnally another ziperred pocket! changed the polyester strap for balistic nylon ones. will last better, and looks nicer things I would like to see updated in the next versions: seeled stitching, or possibility to seal the stiches with seem grip. please make flat stiching in the ends of the bag so i can put seem grip on it and transform this bag into a rain proof luggage. water resistant zippers fast removable shoulder straps for when I check in the bag, like clips. paracorp zipper pull instead of those plastic bit at the end, which breaks the week you get the bag.

Not completely dryproof waterproof but it makes its job
