Great size for overnight or carryon. It has the same room as a back pack just easier to pack and get into.

Great bag

The perfect duffel for a normal gym day or weekend trip!

Have only used for one trip so far but it worked great and has a lot of room! I got the color PRIMARY GREEN/ASPHALT GREY and the bottom is actually dark grey, not green, which was a good surprise because I was worried about the bottom looking bad over time.

I love these bag. I have the large , and now the small.

It's very sturdy and well made, as is to be expected from TNF products.

I use it for everyday use at work and the gym/martial arts. I throw everything in there - laptop, notebooks, lunch, water bottle, boxing gloves, shin guards, bjj gi, etc. Some people may like to have dividers or dedicated places to put things, but I find that just being able to toss everything in there makes it easier and faster to get out of the house in the morning.

Very stylish. A must.

Great for weekend trips and back packing

I have used this for a few trips now and I am shocked at the amount I can fit inside. I tend to over pack and I don't feel like I have to restrict myself when choosing what to bring. The added function of wearing it as a backpack is really convenient living in NYC and not taking up too much room walking down a crowded street. Will come back to buy the family of sizes for sure!

I'm very satisfied with the bag. Are you still on a 2-day trip to Chicago and was very pleased with how comfortably I moved in and out of the airport with it.

This bag is sick because it can fold into itself and zip shut so its footprint is really small. I always hate having open bags sitting around so thats a huge plus. The colors are dope and the backpack straps are a very cool feature.

Quality style and comfort.. super!

Haven't actually had to take this on a plane yet, but based on all the reviews I've seen, it shouldn't have any problem fitting under the seat. I'm going on a 4-day trip, and I really like how I was able to fit all my clothes and bath supplies into this bag. I probably helps that my pants are also from TNF and pack very compactly. But I also really like the fact that it has back straps, which along with its size specs, was one of the main reasons I selected this bag. It also looks great.

I have a long history with the NorthFace Base Camp Duffel. My latest purchase is actually my third Base Camp duffel. I have a small one for short local trips. My massive XXL duffel has been carried twice to Mount Everest Base Camp and 3 times to Cerro Aconcagua. It is well worn and showing its age but still very usable. I no longer climb mountains so now the XXL duffel is used for my SCUBA diving gear. My latest purchase, the XL Base Camp Duffel is for a family trip to Paris. We will be staying at Air B&B's all over the city. I like the Base Camp Duffel because it can be worn as a pack, which makes it easy to move around the city. The XL duffel is also not so large that it can't be scrunched down and carried on to an airplane. The Base Camp duffel is a very versatile and well built bag for all your travels.

Great for big trips and weekend trips. Liven how sturdy the bag is. Hoping to have this bag for years to come.

Pros - This bag was the perfect size for a 1 week destination running tour of Northern CA - hitting 100+ miles of trails. I packed 3 pairs of sneakers, hydration pack, head lamps, 5 days of trail running clothes and accessories, 4 different wind/rain jackets; plus 5 days of casual clothes. Filled to the brim the bag came in at 80lbs when I checked it - worth it to pay the overweight fee to have all the essential gear. Received many compliments on it, could spot it a mile away at bag check. Cons - the strap cinches were sewn on upside down, made it annoying to adjust the straps on the fly. Was surprised how filthy it became checking it on the plane, however cleaned easily enough. More inside storage pockets would have been nice. Bottom line, love the bag, I am planning on buying the same bag in the next size up and down - would expect to need the XXL for any trip >10 days.

This bag is perfect size and super nice quality! I bought this bag to use as a carry on for a plane and fit perfectly. The bag is bigger then I thought which was great for me as I could fit more into it.

I love all the sizes colors and durability of the north face duffel bags you will not be disappointed and it's a a good solid investment! I love my Xs Red!

This bag is the perfect size for weekend trips and longer travel for the efficient packer. I took it on a weeklong trip to Hawaii and it fit everything I needed and more. The backpack straps make it so easy to carry through the airport, and it fits in the overhead compartment no problem. I usually don't write reviews but this bag is just that good. Would buy again!
