My favourite feature of the base camp duffels has been that iI can use the compression straps to secure the bags down to cargo racks on a bicycle porteur rack or motorcycle rear rack without needing to carry extra straps. The lopsided new design doesn't centre the weight right. The bags are durable and do a good job of keeping your stuff dry. I did a 17,000km road trip across Canada and everything stayed dry despite highway speeds in numerous torrential downpours crossing Ontario. The only time I've had one let in water was when the bag wasn't full (of gear) and water pooled on top of a low spot and water seeped in through the zipper. I now put my sleeping bag in a thin dry bag and squeeze the air out with my weight and close it up to keep it compact and dry when packed - compressed and dry without compression straps. Oh, then use the dry bag semi-full wrapped with a fleece pullover inside-out as a pillow at night.

I loved this bag like it was my first born child. I took it on every trip because of the absurd about of stuff you can fit in it. Unfortunately, on my most recent trip to SC, the baggage claim people must have not liked it so much bc I picked it up with a gaping hole in the front. So much for "legendary durability". Nevertheless, this is still the greatest bag I've ever owned and I'll be ordering another.

I've had this bag for 9 years, its been great. The only thing I would love to add is a hip belt. During long trips with lots of hauling gear, I curse this bag due to the weight i've crammed in it & lack of ability to put some weight on hips & off the back.

I needed a duffel bag that I could carry comfortably while traveling and walking through the airport. This bag meets those needs as well as it looks great and has plenty of room for a week long trip or a bit more.

Using as a ski bag for the 21/22 season, excited to toss ski boots, googles, gloves, hats, socks, apres ski clothing in it, happy to have it all be able fit into one sturdy stylish bag. I got the black color, I figured this is the color that would not show dirt and keep its color.

even if that bags looks big it is acrually very light and comfortable

I loved it, but it was heavy

I bought this for my son to carry his Muay Thai training gear to class three times a week. It's the perfect size - easy to store and remove items and very, very rugged. Also used on the occasional weekend and week-long trip. This is the fifth Base Camp Duffel we own - we purchased the first one five or six years ago and it's still going strong.

I love this waterproof bag! We use it when we go boating to keep our items dry. It is wonderfully roomy, and has a nice wide, easy-access opening. The side compartment ensures smaller items are easy to find.

This bag will withstand most of what we throw at it, & we love that it's compact when stored.

Love this bag! I have one so I got it for my boyfriend as a gift. The M size is perfect because you can use it for a weekend getaway or a two week trip where you want to pack light. Worth it!!

I love this bag! Has plenty of space, very durable and feels waterproof, although I haven't weather-tested it yet. Love that you can carry it like a traditional duffel bag or wear it as a backpack. I can easily pack for a 5 day trip in the medium size bag.

Carries all my clothes I need for a camping trip. Shoes included. The pocket inside serves as a nice divider for socks and underwear!

Perfect size to do a week trip with! It fit on the plane as well so didn't have to check it. You can stuff a-lot in there and love that you can wear it like a backpack. Super happy!

This bag is the best! Bought the M size and fits a great deal of stuff. I'm 5'2 so was the best size for me to carry.
