I bought my Katavi's in May 2017 and have had to glue them back together twice. The first time, in 2019, the sole on one started to split apart. The second time, in 2020, the straps on one had pulled out from the side. I went to glue them this morning (straps came out) for the 3rd time and noticed the sole on one had worn thru and started falling apart from the bottom. In fairness, I've worn them virtually everyday since I bought them. I like the design, just need to have some shoe goo on hand if you want them to last more than a couple years. Two times when they needed to be glued was after wearing them in saltwater, the other time was when I took a weird step off of a ladder.

Another year, another blown Teva thong. I absolutely hate sandals, and have been wearing Teva things since 1992. I’ve worn them places they probably shouldn’t be worn, like mucky salt marshes, but after hosing off I’ll wear them out to a casual dinner. Basically, I live in Teva thongs when I’m not wearing “work” shoes. I used to wear a pair for 3-5 years before the soles give way, or they’re just so abused that they don’t look good any more. But for the last 3 years I’ve blown them out after a year. The construction just doesn’t seem to be the same as it used to be, and the side stitching gives way. My last pair blew out this weekend as I was walking on my boat deck. I’ve purchased another replacement because there is no better footbed for support, but sadly I might have to shop for another brand if the latest pair isn’t as durable as I expect.

These used to be available for women I buy men's size 7 only because they don't make these for women anymore. Therefore they are a bit too roomy under the strap. The footbed is very comfortable which is why I buy them. Please make these for women again!!!

I would give the thong 5 stars if they didn't fall apart in about 6 months. Thank goodness they have the guarantee of one year. This experience has been consistent for at least the last 5 years. Build them with a stronger glue so the sole doesn't separate in six months.

I wear a size 12 in most running shoes and 11 in more formal shoes. In Crocs flips, I wear a size 10. For Teva, size 11 was a bit too big for my taste, but size 10 was too small -- my pinkie toe hits the raised outer lip.

Love the quality and look of this flip but for those with a high arch/instep, it's a bad fit. There isn't enough room for the foot to slide in comfortably and the fit is uncomfortable. Had to send it back.

Everything was fine about my buying experience with your company except that the fit was terrible. I threw them in a closet and will not wear them. I'll find someone to give them too. They were supposed to be 13s. They are not for 13 feet. the toe rod is way too far back.

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY HUSBAND FROM WEST MARINE IN HONOLULU. STRAPS CAME OFF AND SOLE STARTED TO SEPARATE FROM THE REST OF THE SLIPPER. IT DIDN'T EVEN LAST A YEAR. FOR THE PRICE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE IT FOR YEARS!!!!! MY HUSBAND DOESN'T EVEN USE IT EVERYDAY YOU CAN TELL BY THE SOLE, BARELY A SIGN OF WEAR.

I didn't get my 10% off on this purchase. I just ordered a pair of sliders just now and still didn't get the 10% off on those . Looks like false advertising to me .

I wore these flip flop and was surprised that they started to cut into my feet. My previous pair (from five years ago, granted) were unbelievably comfortable. These are not. I was really surprised.

Left foot thong feels correct. Right foot thongs straps are very tight. Hope they will end up breaking in evenly eventually. As of now I cannot wear them but for a short time. My last pair (which I still wear) had no such problem.

I have purchased several pairs of similar style TEVAs in the past. This one, the left shoe seems to have not been built correctly and does not quite fit.

I like Teva products, but not this one. I used these in a rainy, tropical environment and they fell apart after 6 weeks. I walked 2 miles on a rough road every other day. The sole separated and the side of the thong pulled out of the sole. These are a waste of money if you intend to use them in the tropics.

Were solid sandals for getting around; however had a complete blowout in an airport 11 months after purchasing. And wouldnt be leaving this review but my warranty was rejected so here we are. Definitely not recommended if you like owning things that last.

I have a three year old pair of Teva Pajaro flip flops that changed my opinion on flip flops in general. The shoes are fantastic, comfortable, and very durable. However... they are three years old. I decided to get a new pair for an upcoming international trip. I chose the Katavi 2 because of the great reviews about them running a little wide (I have very wide feet). These shows are probably the worst shoes I've ever purchased. The soles were slipping on wet asphalt while everyone was walking around in super cheap local flip flops. The strap on these absolutely destroyed the top part of my foot. I was taking pain meds, using heated patches, pretty much anything to get some relief. Finally I decided to just skip the flip flops and wear my hiking shoes around the beach. These shoes are terrible. Stick with the Pajaro line. The Katavi's are horrible. Very much regret my choice to buy these.

The sandal seemed poorly aligned to my foot. It was the right size, but it was extremely uncomfortable. I returned the product, but did not hear back from the company on my refund. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get a refund. Stay far away from this company.

I would recommend these to others, but in my case my feet are just to wide for flip flops. I would return then buy I no longer have the boxes. Big fan of teva
