These are great for being in water, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. They hold my foot securely. I had to go up a size for them to be comfortable, but I do still have the plastic ring near the toes dig in on my larger foot, so they are almost perfect. They are also very cute.

These sandals are awesome, I like not having a strap around or in between my big toe. The plastic buckles do have to be positioned just right though, or they will aggravate your foot. Great in the water, would definitely buy these sandals again!

I have gotten lots of compliments on these sandals! They are stylish and for the most part, fit well...but I have long, narrow feet and most importantly, narrow heels. Therefore, the sandals always look like they don't fit since I have a lot of extra sandal sticking out from around the outside of my heel. In effect, I would need to pronate to make the sandal look right in the heel. I don't have this issue with my other styles of Tevas (Teri-Fi, Alp Premier) because they have adjustable straps on the heels. Also, buyers should know that they fit EXACTLY. By this I mean, there is no extra length: my size 10 is a size 10. If they were closed toe, I might order a half-size larger but as sandals, they are fine. I am perfectly willing to wait and see what happens as I continue wearing them since overall, they adjust to and fit my narrow feet well.

I bought these to replace my 15 year old Tevas that finally were looking a little too ragged for everyday wear. With an upcoming midsummer trip to Walt Disney World I knew there would be lots of walking and it would be hot, with daily rain. My old style had the cross the top of the foot strap, but it was one wide strap. I had also purchased a pair of Tevas with the velcro straps, but they weren't as comfortable on my foot as the criss-cross straps. I wore them once before the trip just to make sure they were comfortable. No breaking in required! However, on one foot the buckle by the toes irritated my foot - I think it is more an issue with my foot than the shoe. I put a piece of moleskin on to prevent further irritation. I logged over 20,000 steps and 9 miles in these. My only complaint at the end of the day was that the bottom of one foot was rubbing wrong on the sole, so I had to add moleskin there as well. But given the circumstances - I rate them very comfortable.

Although this is a nice looking little shoe, my foot is addicted to the teva verra foot bed which is shaped slightly different and has more heel support. These were lighter and worked great for the beach and short walks, straps lack the snuggie teva support system. I'm 66 and I stay in shape and love long walks or flat hikes. Personal if they never put turquoise blue on a shoe again, I'd never complain, but I liked the gray.

I have the old Zirra sandals (my favorite shoes) and these seem to be the update to that. Design issues that make this a much worse shoe: 1- the heel straps aren't adjustable and they're not long enough so they push my foot forward out of the heel cup (in the photo you can see that I can't even get my foot properly in the shoe because the back strap won't allow my foot to go any further back); 2- the D-ring by the toes is poorly placed and hurts my pinky when I wear them for a long time; 3- the adjustable strap for the top of the foot isn't long enough to easily slide my foot in then tighten. I have high volume feet and the straps at the longest length are about where I'd tighten the shoe to, if not a little looser. I would try to sew a strap onto the existing one to increase the length option if not for the other problems.
