I own 2 pair of Tirras and 2 pair of Original Universals and I love them all! Despite the fact that these share the same strap design as the Universal, I could not find a way to adjust these that didn't blister my right foot terribly. I don't have any special requirements, -no bunions or the like. I'm not sure why these straps blister when my universals don't. I'm guessing that the wider base is the cause as the blisters were on the side of my foot. ? The cushioning on these is fantastic and even with the additional cushioning in back, they did not aggravate my Achilles. I'm super disappointed to return them but look forward to a new pair of Tirras, my all time favorite sandals!

Some reviews have remarked about how the tevas seem to run wide and yes they are true. I have narrow feet so these shoes dwarfed my feet at the front.

I like the look for this kind of sandal, and the size was fine, though there was only a little arch support. My problem was they are very stiff so I felt they were not comfortable to walk around in and one of the straps was kind of rubbing my toe. I thought that might lead to a blister, so I went with a different style of Teva.

The front strap is positioned so far back on the foot that my foot was sliding forward, off the front edge of the sandal, even with the ankle strap reasonably snug. Sadly, I had to return them.

The shoe is really great. But the color, Bright White, is yellowing right from the factory.

If you look at the photo on the website of this sandal, as if you are looking down on them, and also the 3/4 view, you will see 2 lines that cut across the forefoot. These lines cut into your forefoot as you walk. It gives an odd sensation; like the sandal is bending or breaking at that point, or your skin is getting pinched. It was not uncomfortable, just very annoying. It tried wearing them inside for a few hours and the sensation did not disappear, so I had to return them. It might not bother other people like it did me. Other than that weird design, these sandals were very comfortable.

Sandle feels a bit less sturdy than expected. I prefer the other styles Teva offers.

The soul of this sandal is quite large. There is generous border beyond your foot, especially around the front half of the foot. So even though the sandal was very comfortable, I didn’t like the look at all and thought it might make me more likely to stumble.

I love my old Teva's, but after many years of use I needed to replace. Couldn't find same style in stores so I went to the website. Ordered same size as old ones. Come to find out there is a significant difference in the new size 8. Much smaller then the old size 8. I could not wear. Keep in mind when ordering. Still love Teva's but must make the adjustment next time.

Uncomfortable along outside of both feet, rather heavy. Style is what I was looking for but not comfortable to me.

I have previous versions of the Hurricane. I wore them for years, mostly at our house on a lake, whenever on the beach, in the water, or on a boat, and ordered these to replace a pair that was worn out with the sole separating from the base after years of gallant performance. The shape changed dramatically in this version. The ball of my foot is fairly wide, although not wide enough to order "wide" sizes, and these sandals were wide on my foot. The outside curve of the previous version was tapered from the maximum width at the base of the toes to above the first toe, while this version is very rounded to remind me, as a previous reviewer noted, of clown shoes and make me concerned about tripping. The front strapping also does not cross my foot in a location to be as secure. I returned these and purchased the Teva Tirra, which is a much better fit, with more secure strapping, better arch, trimmer profile around the toes, and better looking so I can also wear them out to more places. The Tirra also seems to have a more contoured foot bed and better roll when walking. One thing the Tirra is lacking compared to the Hurricane is an adjustable back heel strap, but that hasn't been a problem in feeling secure on my foot. Depending on your individual foot shape, though, the Hurricane XLT2 may work for you.

I have very fond memories of my various Tevas over the years, but returned these. The reason was that the triangle holding the intersection of the straps on the top outside of the foot no longer has a fabric backing, and the plastic triangle rubbed. I still have my 25-year-old Tevas.

These particular sandals cause my toes to move over the front edge. I have to keep positioning my foot back in to the heel strap. My others do not have that problem and I believe it's that the fabric does not have any body as do the sandals with the ribbon like straps. So no, I would not recommend them but I love Tevas. I have worn them for decades and they last for at least 3 years. Yes, so now I am stuck with these pretty but annoying Tevas!..

I was replacing a pair of Tevas that I've had for years. The model I have is no longer made so talking though Chat it was determined that the Hurricane XLT2 was the closest to my original pair. I really wanted to love them, but...the arch is not nearly as supportive and the heel cup is not as cupped. I need a good supportive base and these just didn't make the grade. I'm giving these a 3* because they look great and can adjust to my wide feet, just wish the arch and heel were better.

I really need a new pair of sandals for walking and Teva footwear has always fit just great. I loved the look of these sandals and know they have at least SOME arch support. But when I ordered my regular size 10 they fit like my mom bought them for me to "grow into." They were at least 3/4" (or more) too long and 1/2" too wide. So OK: I love zappos so I just ordered the next size down. Now my toes were hanging off the end. This is the first time I've had a fit problem with ANY Teva footwear (shoes, boots, sandals). Woe is me. I sent both pairs back. :(

I love Teva and i like the hurricane but this new one the hurricane 2 is very clunky. I bought the red which is awesome. My favorite color is red. If after i tightened the straps it still had a lot of the shoe on the side. I have numerous pairs so Teva and was so happy to see the red.

I was disappointed when I opened the box - the footbed is not shaped to the foot like the photos all show - it is flat as a pancake. I tested these shoes kayaking yesterday and they were again a disappointment - the sole is very slippery when wet and my foot slid around a lot in them. On the other hand, the strap part is very pretty, and since I've already worn them and thus can't return them, I will wear them once in a while, but not for kayaking.

The sandals felt great at first when I tried them on, but after wearing them for five days on the Big Island, they gave me blisters on multiple parts of my feet, especially around my bunions. The straps were very stiff, and while they may need time to break in, the break-in period is extremely uncomfortable.

Disappointed the new material is uncomfortable rigid after wearing for a time. I have worn Teva's for many years and not experienced this before. The size kept varying so fit was hard to answer. Uncomfortable. I tried them on at the store but there was a long enough time to experience the above things I have mentioned

I liked the colors and the Velcro straps. The footbed feels like teeny pieces of gravel and is not comfortable. I want to take them off after a short time.

I have been a Teva devotee for many years. I used to have a choice of medium and wide. I always wore wide. They no longer offer this choice. I purchased the shoes in the only width-regular. The straps needed to be tightened so much that there was an inch of strap hanging in the toe area. They still slipped around and were very uncomfortable. No longer a Teva fan!

I had great hopes for these sandals but they were uncomfortable to wear, the footbed didn't have the support I was hoping for and was hard to walk on. Velcro closings pricked my skin when the straps were closed. The sole was too big and might cause a tripping hazard.
