I love the dark blue so i ordered the black same size but the material is different and the fit was tighter. So I returned the black

I own the Kruser I softshell jacket in chalk and wanted a darker color. The Kruser I isn't available anymore, so I ordered the Kruser Ridge II. It runs a FULL SIZE BIGGER than the original. I don't know if Columbia changed their plus sizing, but the size I've always gotten is now way too big. The sleeves hang off my arms a good 4", whereas the old version ended perfectly on my hands. I don't have abnormally long/short arms, either.
Additionally, the little details are cheaper. The zipper is lighter weight, the sleeve endings don't come to a point and they are finished off with a cheap stretchy material rather than the same softshell material on the coat, similar to the lower end fleece jackets. The shape isn't constructed to be as flattering , it's more boxy and doesn't dart in at the waist as much. Also, the "dark seas" color is straight up forest green.
I didn't wear it past the try on, so I can't speak to the performance. But the shell doesn't feel like the same softshell material, so I wouldn't expect the same wind/rain resistance.
I am so, so disappointed in this. The Kruser Ridge I was my perfect jacket and now I have to find something else again.

I bought this jacket, then ended up returning it. I live in New Jersey, this jacket is intended more for fall, not for the winter months here, it didn't keep me warm, I had to layer up inside then wear it.

I have several of your Kruser Ridge softshell jackets and am not impressed with the latest version (Kruser Ridge II). I don't like the cuffs or the collars. The new design looks cheaply made compared to the original version. I will not be purchasing any more of these jackets. Hopefully you will reconsider your design.

This Columbia jacket wasn't up to my expectation due to cut, material and fit so I returned it.
