I had felt a lot of positive anticipation about these, as some online reviewing reported the 9s to be more similar to Kinvaras of old--in certain respects, anyway--than the 7s and 8s, which I considered to be devolutions from the very able older models.
I had this pair on my feet for five minutes in my room before realizing they had a major problem: the insoles feel as if they have HARD BUMPS pushing into the soles of one's feet. --Very weird; very uncomfortable.
As always, Zappos was marvelous about processing the return--or exchange, rather. (See my Brooks Launch review!)

I bought this shoe because it looked RED. When I got the shoes, they most certainly were not red. I would say they are more of a hot pink.

I've heard good things about the Kinvara 9, so when I ordered the Grey/White I was excited to try them. When they arrived, I was surprised that the color was very different than what is pictured online. They are actually very much more blue than they look online. I would hesitate to call them grey OR white at all. I actually went back and double checked that I hadn't ordered a different color by accident. I'm disappointed because I'm not going to keep something I'm not 100% happy with and I was really excited to get them. It's very hard to find quality running shoes in a neutral color that will match everything, most running shoes are very bright colors which I dislike. However, the return process through Saucony was very smooth and hassle-free.

Really wanted to love this running shoe. However, after mile 3 I had pain in my tendon surrounding my sesamoid bones near my big toe. This pain is clearly from running in this particular shoe, because the pain is relieved once I run in different shoes. Besides the pain, these shoes felt good on my feet. I wish I could return these since I cannot withstand the pain from running in them.

The shoe was overall a good running shoe at first after running and training in these shoes and going on a few runs with rain I found that the sole in the shoe didn't hold up well. Along, with the fact that the tip of the shoe began to grow a hole in the front and the sole of the shoe held my foot well, but on runs with rain, the sole would fold and hurt my feet after the run. The hole began to grow and the tongue of the shoe kept folding out when running, this caused the top of my foot to began to hurt even when I would tie the shoe correctly. I hope that other people found this shoe enjoyable when running because I thought the quality was good for me at first but it didn't seem to hold up well. I would not purchase this shoe again for my sake of hips and knees.

I've had 2 pairs rip on the outside of the footbed. The design literally doesn't hold your foot in. super disappointing.

I've been an avid kinvara runner for 7 years and I'm switching because I can't stand these colors. They used to have lots of fun bright colors to chose from. Everyone has their own taste but this isn't mine. Goodbye Kinvara. Goodbye Saucony.
