I had found the best shoes ever in the Guide series, had two pairs of them. Then had to switch to the Iso and they hurt my foot as it seems they are more narrow on the toe part.... so desapointed....why change something that is already great?

This was the second pair I ordered. The medium was way too narrow, lacing area had to be spread to the maximum to fit. The wide was way too wide, and the flaps almost had to overlap for lacing. Very disappointed. Both have been returned.

Bought these shoes at the recommendation of a running store. Felt pretty good when I tried them on there but after wearing them for a kit a week in the gym and out running, they are very uncomfortable and just hurt my feet. For the price I paid these shoes do not live up to the other brand my old running shoes are.

I thought I needed a stability shoe after doing research about the type of outer hip pain that I've been experiencing as a long distance walker. When they arrived, I was pleased with the fit, style, and feel of the shoe. But, it turns out that I don't need this type of shoe and these gave me a terrible case of plantar fasciitis. Instead of relying on more online research to fix my issue, I went for a full shoe fitting at a running shoe store and then ordered the right shoe from Zappos. THANK YOU to Zappos for allowing me to exchange these shoes for the right ones! I've worn various Saucony shoes for a very long time, and I'm sad these didn't work out. If you need a stability shoe, this one seems quite well-constructed and I was happy with the style.

I’ve been wearing a Guide 5 for years so I thought these would be a sure fit. These were not at all wide enough for me and even felt shallow/tight on top in addition to tight on the sides. I tied swapping out the insoles for my orthotics but it didn’t help.

I have been wearing these shoes for half marathon training for about 4 years and have LOVED this model until the change to ISO. I have a particular foot - narrow, high arch, that depends on a specific type of support. I just had my worst race ever and it is partially due to this shoe. I tried returning after first wear but could not. Please bring back the old design! I may have to move back to Brooks :(

I have worn Saucony in the past but more recently have found Asics more comfortable for me. I gave these a try but immediately knew they had to go back. There was something about the lacing that felt off center to me (although as I look at the pictures again, I see nothing that LOOKS off center). Also, the arch was a bit high and hit my foot in the wrong place. Love the wild color of these, wish they would have worked out better for me.

I have worn this same product for years and unfortunately am not happy this time around. The shoe slips on my heel & when I tighten the shoe strings more it hurts the top of my foot. Plus they squeak..yes they are very loud and annoying. I am not so sure I will get Saucony again.

Found this product to take awhile to break in. Seemed uncomfortable in the arch area for quite awhile. Running /walking in cold weather ie winter the landing felt hard , no cushion. During warmer weather the feel was improved. As my training mileage increased to 9 or 10 miles, I noticed my middle toe was bothering me seemed to be catching on something. When I felt inside the shoe the upper part of the lining was worn away on both shoes but worse on the shoe that my toe was bothering me. No breaks in the outside lining. The shoes were not tight. These shoes are only 3 moths old and the mileage at the most maybe 150 to 200 miles if that. I always loved the Guides but do not like this new Iso at all. never had a problem like this. Yes, on the older Guides, the outer lining might get a hole in it , but that was after 6 months and putting twice the mileage. Sorry to say I can't use these anymore . a total waste of money. Hopefully I can find the older model shoe online so that I can continue training for the half marathon. Then I will have to look for a different brand. Sorry Saucony your innovation totally didn't work for me and I am bummed. I can only hope that in the future you will redesign more like the former Guides.

Seemed like a great shoe, very well constructed but it seemed sized on the small side and I never have a problem with sizing. Had to return it but I would reconsider buying it again just going up half/one size.
I'd also recommend:

LIke many other reviewers here, Saucony Guides were my one and only running shoe. This last version however nearly ended my running career. They left me with incredible knee pain and I've given them away. My old Sauconys, while pretty worn still feel great but after trying nearly every other new model, I've gone to another brand now. :(

This is the 2nd pair of the Guide ISO that I purchased. The shoe fits great but the quality is horrible. The shoes are only 6 months old and I only wear them to run in about 4 days aweek. The material on both shoes by my big toes has ripped apart. So disappointed.

I have worn Guides ever since I started running several years ago. I had not run continuously for a year and pulled out a pair of Guide 10s that I had in my closet and was so disappointed in them. My feet hurt right away and felt like they were on fire. After giving them a shot to be broken in I gave up and ordered ISOs, hoping they were improved from the Guide 10s. I am training for a 25k in the spring and after running 6 miles today my feet are KILLING me. I have probably 50+ miles in the ISOs and they are not like the Guides of old. I am going to have to buy ANOTHER pair of shoes to continue my training. I am not sure what brand I will be buying but this is two pairs of Saucony's that have been a huge disappointment to me. I miss the old Guides. Why did Saucony have to change something that was so good? A friend of my husband's recently bought a pair of ISO's and he said he hates his as well, after wearing Guides for several years. Please bring back the guides. If you are contemplating buying these, DON'T. Go to your local running store and get fitted for something else! It will save you the pain!

I have never invested in a pair of running shoes, I've just always bought what's cheap and on sale. I got Into running about 6 months ago and thought it was time to get a quality pair of shoes. After going to a professional running store, it was suggested I get the Saucony Guide ISO shoes. They felt good for the 5 minutes I had them on in the store, and quick jog they let me do on their treadmill. But after my first real run, things definitely went downhill. I've had them for about 6 weeks now and have had blisters/sores on about every part of my feet. I've gone through a box of bandaids wrapping my toes/heels. They have set me back on my training. I keep thinking maybe they will "break in" and get better. But I've come to realize that I just threw a whole lot of money away and have nothing to show for it but some nasty blisters.

I am very disappointed that the Guide series is now an ISO shoe. I have had the Guide shoes for many years and LOOOOOVE them. The cushion was just right for my foot. The arch was perfect for me. Everything about this shoe was BUTTAH. But the Guide ISO is completely different. The tongue of the shoe is integrated into the top of the upper, making the fit WAY different. Much tighter and uncomfortable. The cushion seems to be gone. Much harder and less responsive. WHY? So sad. It is SO HARD to find a good running shoe. I've tried to give the Guide ISO a chance, but they are just terrible for my feet. The butter cloud feeling with each step is gone. :(

I have worn Saucony Guide for years; they have been ideal for my bunion and metatarsalgia. But I am baffled by this new version. Even with my bunion they are much too wide in in the toebox, and the cushioning seems dramatically decreased, although perhaps that's due to poor fit. I hope Saucony brings back the old version; until then I need to find a new running shoe.

I was thrilled some years ago to find the Guide shoes and have had 3 pairs. They were the first shoes in years that I could comfortably wear to walk, run, or just wear all day. Unfortunately, these shoes are nothing like the previous Guide models and I am back to having pain in my arches and shins when wearing them. It is like high school shin splints all over again. I wore them for a walk 2 days ago and my shins still hurt! I am now stuck with an expensive pair of shoes that is causing pain and I have to go through the work of finding athletic shoes that are comfortable again.

These are my 5th pair of Guides. Not sure I will be purchasing a 6th. When I first bought the shoes I thought the constant squeak was because they were new. I have now had them for months and miles and I have to wear headphones just to be in them! The squeak is very loud!!! I emailed Saucony about this I never heard back from them. Very disappointed!!!

I have 3 pairs of the guide 10 and loved them! But i am extremely disappointed with the guide iso shoes. They do not have the same support and feel as the guide 10 shoes. Since I have been running in these shoes, I have began having foot pain that I didn't have before when running. Please make the guide shoes like the old guide 10!!!

I purchased the Saucony Guide ISO after being fitted by a local running store. I was hesitant to buy them as I have worn Brooks for the past 10 years. At first I was happy with these shoes, but after less than 2 months the inside of both heels of the shoes have large holes, which in turn are causing large blisters on the heels of my feet. I am very disappointed as my other running shoes have lasted for much longer than 2 months, and I am currently training for a race, but only averaging about 25 miles a week.

This is my 4th pair of saucing giides and up until now I loved them. I ordered the same size and these shoes are a size to big. When I rsnnjn them I noticed the toe bed is HUGE and I had a hard time runnkmgbkn them. I can usually glide over the pavement and with these shoes I hear every step.

I've been wearing Saucony Guides since the 2nd version came out...loved them, never had a problem. The 4th version was my absolute favorite. Then you all changed the shoe with the 5's, and from then on it's been a love/hate with these shoes for me. 8-10 were good....now what the heck?! These shoes are tight, and I wear a wide! The tendon on the top of my foot constantly hurts, along with my shins, back, and hip. I'm not sure how this shoe managed to get an almost "plush cushioning" rating on the scale, because my shoes feel like concrete. I guess I'm going to have to start my hunt for a replacement because I can't run hurt, and Saucony can't seem to leave well enough alone.

This is just an echo of the first two reviews of the Guide ISO. I've owned 5-6 pairs of Guides over the last 5ish years. I've run numerous 5ks, 10ks, halfs, and the 2016 NYC marathon in Guides! I am a ride or die Guide lover. But the ISO has changed that. At first I thought they were too tight because they're new and I needed to break them in. Well that was a month and half ago and less 50 miles and they still hurt the top of my foot. Where the laces tie is for some reason SO tight and has given me tendon pain and inflammation on the top of my foot - something I have never dealt with.
I'm pretty sad. Finding a ride or die dependable running shoe that you can go back to year after year is SO hard....and it looks like now I'll have to start that process all over again.

I've been wearing Saucony Guide's since the 4th edition of the shoe and have always loved them. I went through 3 pairs of the Guide 8's and absolutely loved them. They were my go to running shoe. Something about this new iteration never felt right- at first I chalked it up to the shoes not being broken in, but after a few weeks wearing the shoe I am still disappointed that it fits and feels nothing like the older generations of the shoe I was used to. I'm still trying to find another shoe that fits like the Guide 8 and have honestly taken to ebay in hopes of finding unworn 8's in my size.
