I am LOVING this shoe! I tried several pairs of Fivefingers for my walks but came to realize that for me, less is definitely more! I wear the KSO EVO's as my everyday shoe. The sole is the thinnest in the line and I felt for long walks it just wasn't quite enough so I tried a couple other shoes that had thicker soles or different compounds that offer shock absorbency. Neither of them worked, however, and I ended up with the V-Alpha since it is the same sole as the KSO EVO's, just 7mm thicker... and it was exactly what I needed! I find I don't want to wear any other shoe now and am planning my next pair! It is important to note that we have so many nerve endings on our feet and activating those nerves regularly is so important for our nervous system and brain. These shoes straighten our toes and that aligns the rest of our bodies, too! I only wish I had tried these years ago! I highly recommend them!

Obviously the "arch support" option is irrelevant with a barefoot shoe--I wear them so my feet get to support their own arches by activating toe muscles. Anyway, this is an okay shoe, I can live with it, I think. Nowhere near as comfortable as the I-miss-it-terribly discontinued KMD Sport. I wish Vibram would stop re-inventing the wheel and replacing perfection with imperfection. This shoe was so small I had to send it back and go up from a 40 to a 41, a size larger than I've worn in this brand. The fabric is pleasant and the sole flexible, but the tongue of the shoe has a big thick bulge that presses on the tendons at the foot-ankle juncture. I'll see if it causes any problems once I do some long runs in them or if it's just an annoyance that I'll get used to. They look like they'll keep the desert grit out fairly well, and the width across the forefoot is great without being loose in the heel.

As of August 2021, Zappos' listing of the sizes is confusing/incorrect, and cross-comparing with Vibram's website didn't help much. We ordered 3 pairs of these in different sizes... so you don't have to! Here's the sizing as listed on the box: Size 38 = USA 7.5-8. Size 39 = USA 8-8.5. Size 40 = USA 8.5-9. Hope that helps someone!

These are among the most attractive of my dozen pairs of five-finger shoes. I love them - live in them! One of my favorite things about these shoes is that I can just throw them in the washer (in a net bag, because of the velcro). I travel a lot, and these light weight, flexible shoes allow me to pack several pairs and still travel light! Zappo's is the BEST place to buy them.

These are cute for wearing around the house or light outside use. They aren't heavy like a real tennis shoe or sneaker. I use them for toe alignment after wearing heels, so I occasionally wear them. They are very comfortable!

These Vibram are very soft, stretchy and comfortable. But they are a size up from what I order. The size chart is wrong on Zappos. A 39 is a size 8-8.5, but on Zappos it said a size 7. I'm sending them back to get my Correct size with is a 38 and that's a 7-7.5.

These shoes did not fit well at all. I normally wear KSO EVOs, but bought these because I wanted sturdier soles for outdoor training. I ended up returning them. They ran way smaller than I expected - my toes hit the ends of all the toe spaces. In addition, the seam on the big toe space cut into my big toe.

Finally pulled the trigger on these - it’s only been a week, but so far I love ‘em! Size fit as expected, color is cool. Wearing them for indoor workouts and chores. Want to get another pair for outdoors! Putting them on takes a little getting used to, but not too bad.

I bought a pair of these Vibrams 10 years ago, and they finally are getting so old, they are drying out. It was time for a new pair, and I love these just as much as my originals. They are very light, and soft, so perfect for working out in the gym. I also wear them for yoga class, because I don't like going barefoot, so this is the next best thing. Since I have bunions, these shoes spread my toes while wearing, so my feet are not 'bunched up' in the normal athletic shoes. Love love LOVE them!!!

Second pair of Vibram Five Fingers. Love the color. Extra gripping soles. Good for my outdoor walking. Felt a little more generous than my other pair but the fabric is different on these, more stretchy so that could be why. I tried a size down and ouch! No! Those were too small for my toes. So I kept the original size ordered and they feel good.

This is my third pair of Five Fingers - my first was the sadly now defunct Komodo. I am breaking them in as directed even though I've worn them before because my past use has been primarily for stand up paddle boarding. I continue to have the same issue that I had with my old Komodos - the seemingly huge seams inside the middle toe DIG into my thing Celtic skin leaving deep grooves after a short wear around the house. I recall that my Komodos softened over use along with my toes building tolerance, so this is why I take great care to follow the "rules" of breaking them in. Above issue aside, I love Five Fingers shoes, they are so refreshing to wear and so easy to care for (the reason I use them for SUP is because I can throw them in the wash when I get home).

The main issue with the V-Alpha is the side cut at the ankle on the outside of each foot is too HIGH. It rubs horribly on my ankle. No other fivefinger shoe I have tried on has had this problem. Otherwise - The V-Alpha in a 39 fit pretty close, slightly too snug. I am a 39 in the V-Run's and they fit perfectly. I measure a 40 on Vibram's size chart, but all the 40's I have tried are way too big. The V-Alpha's might have worked in a size 40 length wise, but would not have in the outside ankle part. I liked the material, the green/blue color. It felt very breathable. I wish they fit my ankle!

I love FiveFinger shoes, been wearing them for 13 years now and my feet can’t live without them. These are the newest model that work well not only for my feet but for my preferred exercise which is walking. Great fit, good sole, and not too shabby looking. I wear a size 9-9.5 in shoes and wear a 40 in these.

Love FiveFingers and have been wearing them for over a decade now. The styles keep changing, but this one fits perfectly well into my walking regiment.

I wasn't sure what to expect from these shoes but I really do like them. I find they are more comfortable with some thin toe socks. They seem to be really good quality. When walking on the treadmill they help me to keep my toes/foot spread out instead of squishing together in my normal workout shoes.

I've had several Vibrams, these are one of the top pairs. Comfort and fit are excellent. V-trail had been my favorite with a slightly thicker sole but the new model has a horrible fit and very uncomfortable. These were great my first day out and I love them. They will just be extra cold and thin in winter months is my feelings.

Fit is spot on for these!! Not as pliable as the KSO Evo but super comfortable anyway and hopefully will soften a little with wear. They feel great on- no complaints!!

I love these shoes! As a bare footer, I bought these shoes for the cooler months in Florida. They feel like gloves, and keep the bare foot feel. I wear a size 7 1/2, these are an 8 & they fit perfectly. Based on this purchase, I will be comfortable in trying more of the styles this brand has to offer.

I loved them as soon as I put them on. I wanted to order another pair!

I wanted to love these. But it comes around too high near my ankle and heel on the left foot so blister city if i keep them. Size was right for foot measurement. I have had Kso EvO forever but the new sizing is off. I will have to go up a size for the foot measurement. That model seems to be the only one that fits. 3 for comfort only because of the ankle the foot bed and toe room is excellent

Really love these. Unfortunately the heel is too wide and they slip around when I walk, so have to return them.

These looked and felt mostly awesome except didn't quite fit. When I pulled the shoe to fit my heel in the heel cup as instructed, my toes didn't make it fully into the pods. Especially my pinky toe. I think my toes are average length, so maybe I need a size smaller. Had to return but it seemed like a great shoe.

This is the second pair in 6 months to wear a hole in the ball of my foot. I only use them for walking my dog, and that’s only about a mile a day. Absolutely no reason they should wear out that quickly. I’m switching back to Merrell.

Super difficult to put on, especially with crooked toes!

These shoes are weird on the foot. My toes were not excited about them at first. I have to think about them and see if they will work. Right now they feel too small. Might try a bigger size.
