I originally ordered these in a 9 per the reviews stating they were on the small/narrow side. They were too long and too wide. Here’s the scoop on these shoes: My shoe size is 8-1/2. I reordered an 8-1/2. Yes they are very tight at first but this type of leather stretched immediately. Once I was able to get them the first time (because yes they are very tight. AT FIRST) and wore them around for a few minutes they are now very comfortable and slide right on after removing the first time. If you like them get them in your regular size.

I really wanted these to fit but the run very small. I would size up a full size. I wear 6 in most shoes but I could not get my foot in these.

I wear an 8 in flats and sometimes a 7.5 in heels. I ordered only an 8 and gave up the first time I tried to put them on. They were so tight I was convinced my foot would not fit! I tried again and now know why some people use shoe horns; it was tough to put it in but fits well once my foot is in. I would be interested to try an 8.5 but I think this 8 will fit well. No pinching or rubbing when I walk and I think they will stretch out a bit with wear to make them easier to put on. I expect to be wearing these a lot!!!

The loafer is well constructed, beautiful shoe. I was pleased that it fit my narrowish foot, and surprised that it was a tad longer then expected, I'm a true 11 and my toe is not at the end. The grey loafer was darker then expected, but will be very versatile.

These are beautifully made shoes but definitely run more narrow than marked. I am going to take them to be stretched which just shows how much I like these shoes because I don't usually make an extra effort to keep shoes that aren't exactly what I need. For those of you who like this style and have more narrow feet, these will be perfect for you!

I purchased a size 9 and 9.5 since I read the reviews of the show running narrow and stiff. I agree it is stiff, which is definitely the nature of the patent leather. I opted for the 9.5. It’s a little large that I prefer but it allowed for a better fit and the extra room will allow room for a pair of socks. I found the shoe no more narrow than other loafers I’ve purchased over the years. However, offering a wide option would be welcome. Great looking shoe and it is what expected. The insole is comfortable. I may consider purchasing another pair in the future.

LOVED the shoes. I ordered the green, which was on sale, and the color was gorgeous!! Unfortunately, they do run small as indicated by others. I will definitely reorder a full size larger when they restock in the larger size, as I need extra room for an orthotic (planter fasciitis :(). LOVE ZAPPOS!!

I have noticed that sperrys now tend to be a bit on the narrow side so I ordered a wide fitting and am glad I did. My feet aren’t typically considered wide but I thought I’d take the chance for a more comfortable fit. I really wanted the jeweled green ones but they were out of stock.

I purchased these in black patent leather. I normally wear a 7.5 but in reading the reviews I chose to purchase a 1/2 size up. I am glad I did. These shoes are really comfortable, but they definitely run a bit small. They are a bit more narrow than I would like, but I'm thinking they will stretch out a bit as I wear them. As other reviewers have stated, they are definitely stiff, but again... my hope is they will ease up after many more wearings. After all that... I still love these shoes. I was able to wear them for 8 hours straight out of the box. They are comfortable and I really love the look of the shoe.

I have this in the green in my usual Sperry size, 7.5, and it's slightly narrow. But it's stretching out with time. The black patent was more snug than the green, and has less "give." Sending the 7.5 Patent back, but will try a size 8. As others have said, the heel is very narrow. I have a narrow heel, but these shoes are hard to slide your foot into. Once my foot is inside, they're comfy. But there's no way I could wear socks with these. The sole is non-slip, but this is not a boat shoe.

Jury still out. As others noted, this shoe runs narrow. I ???????May have to return. Ordered up 1/2 size, but still is a tight fit. Great looking shoe...terrific quality & wonderful ZAPPOS service!! Just wish that this shoe was a better fit for me ???????.. really wanted to love them!! ???????Hopefully ZAPPOS will be able to offer the WIDER WIDTH in this style....???? Again soon!!!! ??

These are cute but very tight on my toes and kind of narrow. I have to send them back.

the shoe is beautiful. but very narrow. I typically wear a medium shoe, but I would need a wide for this one.
