I bought these as a top layer to put on over fleece lined leggings while I was in Iceland. They were PERFECT! I climbed glaciers, rode horses, and hiked all over and these held up perfectly. Definitely recommend these pants for any outdoors-woman!

Just returned from a week long backpacking trip above the tree line in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Would highly recommend these pants for these kinds of tough adventures. I do have all well other well known brands but chose to take these, just because they are the best! They worked perfectly in the rocky terrain, constantly exposed to the very abrasive glacier polished granite. They are tough but also comfortable and stretchy. Planning to buy them in all other colors. I hike every day and plan to just live in them for now.

The silver ridge stretch pant is an excellent pant to wear hiking or out and about. I am a running coach and wear mine often. It has a great feel, the stretch adds an ease of mobility and they are comfortable.

These are my second pair. One that fits, the other ones are to layer with. I love the pockets, just the right amount. Hiking in them they are extremely comfortable and not heavy!

Love my new pants. Quality of fabric and craftsmanship excellent. I ordered the color grill which looks great with light gray, yellow, violet, etc. tops. The weight of the fabric will be perfect for the cooler months in Florida. I wear a size larger in Columbia pants.

Pants are QUALITY. But definitely fit small around the hip/waist area; needs a bit more stretch for me! I usually buy a 14 but chose the 16 because of the "fits slightly small" comment.

I do not leave reviews until I wear the item for a while. Fit great and still the same fit after wash. They look great and are very well made. I plan on getting more.

These pants run small, especially in the waist. The construction is fine, and the fabric is easy to care for and nice flexibility for working.

I ordered these pants based on my normal size for Columbia. However, they did not fit and were too tight for my body type. I have an athletic-curvy build and the waist is cut too small to come over my booty. The legs were also cut small and were tight on my quads. My suggestion would be if you are a regular size 6 or 8 then you need the size 10, if you are like me and your regular size is 10, then you will most likely need a 12 or 14.... or just select a different type of pant that will actually stretch and accommodate to your awesome muscles. Quality seemed good and no other issues except for the fact they just could not handle all my awesomeness!

I am 118 lb, 5'3", 35"-36" around the hips and 26"-27" in my waist. Size 2 just fit (not tight) around my body. I wish I had gotten size 4.

Theses pants are comfortable but be sure to get a size bigger than needed as they do run small. I purchased the Nori color and really like it.

The pants are really nice and comfortable. Not as stretchy as I thought, but the fit is really good.

I bought these to travel to Europe in. They have a zipper pocket in back and a Velcro flap in front, both should be secure enough for my valuables. Fabric is light weight and comfy, should be able to wash and wear

Tried on at store. Had to go up one whole size. This product has the thicker material that does not have static cling.

Typical good quality material from Columbia; however, the fit is very small. I'm typically size 8 or 10. I ordered size 10, and the pants were extremely tight. I returned the pants to our local store, and tried on size 12, which I've never worn in my life, but the size 12 fit. Be sure to order a size larger.

If I'd read all the external reviews earlier, I'd have known to order a size up. I wear a 14 in most clothes, but these pants fit like a 12. I had to return them. Otherwise, I would've enjoyed them. Oddly, the other pants I ordered, the Just Right Straight Leg pant, really was just right! Fit perfect.

The title to these pants state "stretch" which is why I ordered them. There is no stretch or give in the fabric at all. I am returning them.

I ordered this pant due to its title of stretch but found no stretch in these. I love pants that have some stretch for comfort while hiking. I returned these due to having no stretch and comfort.

I ordered a few pairs of Columbia hiking pants to try. I'm new to wearing the brand's pants and wasn't sure what to expect. Like others have mentioned, I definitely had to size up. I'm normally a 4 or 6 in jeans/pants, but I have thick, muscle-y thighs, and the Columbia hiking pants are cut small. This particular pair is getting returned because of the fabric. I'm very sensitive to fabric textures, and this fabric was very scratchy. Fit was OK. It's tight in the thigh, but a little loose around the waist (standard problem for me).

I keep trying to replace a pair of Columbia pants from years ago and these are not quite right. The cut is correct but the fabric is lighter weight and swisher than I wanted. It appears to be rip stop which is great for hiking but prevents these from passing for nicer non-hiking pants. Also, they aren't really blue but gray. I was going for blue. I will keep them for boating and hiking in the summer but will not get the same amount of wear out of them as the predecessor.
