The soles are great, very sticky material, and the boot is light... those are the good points. Support of the boot is below average (probably because it's a light boot?) and customer support at asolo is horrible. After a few months of light wear the boots inside are wet at the toes after wearing in an inch of snow. After of months of dealing with asolo (send asolo pictures, receipt, and the boots at my cost...) they did nothing. I am done with asolo.

How have I lived without these boots all my life?!?!?! Right out of the box I knew they were special. I wore them to work that day, and they feel amazing. We have hiking trips the next several weekends and a trip to Glacier in the new year, and I'm so pleased to have got these now. They are super-comfortable and need no breaking in. You get what you pay for!

The boot is very nice looking. It is not water proof or good for cold weather. The sole is not as strong as other Asolo boots were in the past. So, if you're looking for a fashion statement, it's a good boot. If you're looking for a boot for hiking, forget it.

Excellent besides the shoe-laces. Whether due to “fabric”/type…it’s the kind where U simply cannot keep tight unless U extra wrap around the top hooks.

This is the third paid of these that I have purchased. I had Lowa hiking boots but the ankles were too padded. I like these because they are less bulky, plus the laces go all the way to the toe which allows you to tighten or loosen these to fit your foot no matter the width. They look great and feel great and are not bulky at all. If you are day hiking then I highly recommend these for you. The low tops are equally as comfortable, I just use those for everyday and work. The mids are my go to for hiking. Enjoy.
