I took the advise from other reviews and purchased 1/2 size larger. They fit great! I have VERY wide feet so they are a bit snug in the ball of the foot. I'm sure over time it will stretch out. Same goes for the elastic part of the sandal. A bit tight, almost feels like your circulation is getting cut off and I don't think I have thick ankles. I am going to wear they for a month and probably update the review here. as a reference, I usually wear size 6 in heels, 6.5-7 in Nike athletic shoes. Because of the design, I would buy them again. Once I break them in, I will update here.

I have terrible bunions and like a shoe that is comfortable to walk in and can mask the deformed shape of my foot. These are wonderful for me! The first time I wore them they did put some pressure on the outside of one of my feet (where it't too wide from aforementioned bunion) - however on subsequent wearings they have loosened up and are amazing. I will be taking them to Europe to meet the cobblestones.

Cute shoes. Very comfortable. However, because of straight heel, the run about half size small. Had to return.

I bought this shoe in Kettle and love the color! The fit was tight initially, but the elastic bands and leather band at the top stretched out after a couple wears and made the shoe more comfortable. I've been getting a lot of compliments on this sandal and I really like how they look.

I really, really wanted to like these shoes. They're soft, flexible, and strap you in...would have been a great all-around summer sandal. Unfortunately, they just couldn't accommodate my bunions. My feet are quite narrow in the back (so wides often flop around), but I have bunions on both feet. I had hoped they might stretch out, but it was clear I would have had to withstand some pretty brutal days before that happened. Love the shoes, just couldn't make them work. Tried an 8 and 8.5.

I took the advise of previous reviewers and sized up 1/2 and they were a success! I have narrow feet so the width is comfortable and not stiff or binding. I purchased the army green—perfect with a tan and red toes! This is my third pair of Sorels & I am a die hard fan now. Another great pair of shoes from Sorel to add to my wardrobe.

A little tight at first, but once broken in are quite comfortable. Would recommend going up half a size.

Thanks to the reviews I ordered the right size. I usually wear a 8.5/9, mostly 9 depending on the brand, and a few people recommended to go up a half size so I went with a 9.5 & glad I did. They fit perfectly & are super cute.

As other reviews have noted, this shoe ran about a half size small for me. I liked the gold color but didn't think the color of the elastic matched well. Sandal felt very comfortable.

I've purchased these a few times and have had different fit experiences with each pair. I normally wear size 8-9, depending on brand and style. The first pair of Ellas I tried were black size 8 and I could barely get my toes through the top strap. The second were brown size 8.5 and they fit a bit snugly out of the box. After wearing them around the house for a couple of days, they've stretched enough to be just right. Excited to have found a stylish sandal that's comfortable for walking around in, I ordered another pair of black size 8.5. These fit more snugly than the brown 8.5s out of the box, and are taking a bit longer to stretch out. They're still a bit snug but I expect them to loosen up a little more with wear - I think sizing up to 9s would be too much. 4 stars for comfort since there's no arch support, but otherwise it's a reasonably comfortable sandal.

I thought about returning my usual 71/2 for an 8 bec it felt short, but decided not too. Not sure I made correct decision!

These shoes look great. I have narrow feet and typically buy shoes when a reviewer complains that a shoe is too narrow. However, these are super tight on my narrow feet. I've worn them a few times now, and not until I was walking vigorously through the city did I somewhat regret not returning the 9's for 9.5's. The straps are pretty tight and the shoe actually snugs my heel, a rarity for me. Overall, I think I'd love these shoes if I had purchased a half size up.

The strap that cross over the toes was not wide enough. I purchased a 10 which is my normal size. I say they are true to size except my left foot is slightly wider than my right so it didn’t workout for me. They are super cute and comfy if the left one fits

Love the style of this sandal. I am disappointed in the fit. Leather toe strap is too snug and the leather heel strap support seems to compress when I walk.

I really wanted to like these sandals; however, they weren't the best fit for my feet. Initially, I followed the advice of everyone to size up a half size. Too big. Then, I ordered my normal size (9.5), and I felt it fit more true to size. I like the elastic criss-cross, and it was comfortable. The front strap is made of leather and pressed into my foot at an uncomfortable place when I stepped around. I decided to return them, because I knew I wouldn't be comfortable walking around in them all day.

These were a huge bummer. I wear a 10/41 and have narrow/low-volume feet. Based on other reviews I ordered these in 10, 10.5, and 11. Sage and Tonic Melon are both great colors in person. • The size 10 footbed would have been perfect IF the heel piece was attached to the footbed further back — instead it pushes your foot further forward on the footbed. I read another review that mentioned this so wasn't totally surprised. • 10.5 gave me a little more room at the toes, but I still totally felt the stitching under my big toe with every step, and it would have been too "short" (falsely, since it's really the heel piece shoving my foot forward) anyway. • The size 11 gave me the right amount of space at my toes, but way too much space at the heel (again, foot is shoved forward), and it flopped all over the place because the straps were too loose — that really confirmed that 10 was the right length and scale for my foot (my usual size!), it's just a design problem in that the feel position is wrong due to where the heel piece is attached to the footbed.

The Good: Very comfortable even though there is no arch support. The sole is padded and felt great to walk in. I have kind of narrow feet, though I always buy medium width shoes; the front strap was fine, not too tight. The Bad: Nothing, really, except... The Ugly: The front strap is very orange. (I bought the Zing colorway.) I was hoping it was more of a tomato color, like it appeared on one website I looked at. It brings out the orange in the striped elastic bands. I liked the purple of the heel, and would have preferred that color in the front strap. If you love orange, buy this sandal. If orange isn't your thing, like me, you'll end up returning them.
