I have a narrow foot and the elastic strap worked great for me. Others said too narrow for them and would agree that an average foot width would likely find it tight, but for narrow gals this is fantastic! Hard to find sandals that will actually stay on my foot, and this is ideal. Only gripe is that the shoe length is at least a 1/2 size too long. I got my usual 8.5 and my toes hung over the front. The heel area kind of pushes your foot forward, so would suggest ordering at least 1/2 size up from usual. Otherwise a very comfortable shoe and the kettle color is a beautiful sandy gray/taupe color that goes with everything.

These are the most comfortable sandals I've worn in years. The leather is SOFT and the stretchy straps hold your feet in place and don't let them slide forward. I went a half size larger than my normal 6.5 because I like my toes inside the sandal, not hitting the stitching, plus I like a wider toe area. I just purchased two more colors today. Finally, a sandal I can wear all day! Well done SOREL.

I would buy these sandals in EVERY color. They're what you'd expect from a sandal created by Sorel. They're beautiful, comfortable and have a cushioned sole, the stretchy straps feel very secure on your feet and they are definitely worth the price. I see myself wearing these all spring/summer/into fall! Highly recommend. I do have long feet - and they fit slightly small to the point where my toes were hitting the top stitching on the sole. They don't cause discomfort however - so if you're unsure try to find a local retailer to try them on first. And to try to choose a color!

I bought two pairs of these (camel, grey). They're extremely comfortable and stylish. I purchased both colors in size 8, and felt the grey was slightly smaller. I am exchanging for 8.5 on grey, but still absolutely in love with the shoe. Easily casual, easily dressed up. AND COMFORTABLE.

This is my third pair of the Ella sandal, I love them so much! They are super comfy, can wear anytime, and will stay put on your feet. The only issues I had with this particular pair is that the band crossing in the front is made of leather- it made for quite the wear in period with some blisters. I stretched them gently with a hair dryer and applied some blister salve to the spots that had perviously rubbed and they were good to go!

Very nice sandals. I did have to go up a half size to get the right fit. Comfortable enough to walk around in and wear all day. My only small complaint is that I can feel the stitching along the edges of the sandal when I walk. A small annoyance though, still comfy

I love the Ella sandal. They are a beautiful and functional shoe. This most recent pair is a size 9. I usually wear an 8.5, but the pair I ordered last year was just a little too tight/small. I kept them and wore them all the time, but decided to order a 9 this time. The foot bed is the perfect size, but the ankle straps are just slightly too loose. I'm going to keep this pair as well because I can still walk around in them just fine, but I may take them to a local shoe repair place and see if they can alter the strap. The only thing preventing a 5 star review is the slightly off sizing.

I really like the look of these. I have very narrow feet and skinny ankles. The elastic straps are very tight. I am hoping that they loosen up. Otherwise they are perfect. I wear a 9 in Sorel boots and bought a 9 in the sandal.

I love how these look! I have narrower feet and they are beautiful! Very flattering and well made. The only problem is because of the design of the back, your foot sits further forward and then my toes hung off the edge. Am returning and trying a half size up...really hope they fit right!

Reviews were confusing. I think they are true to size HOWEVER, if you have chubby feet you may want to size up cause the shoe is primarily made of elastic. It might be too tight.

I'm true to size but my toe went over the line so back they go at six dollar shipping, next size up would be too big so if you're a half size I suggest trying on before buying.

I sized up half a size due to reviews and I'm glad I did. I love how the heel is covered (makes it a little dressier I think). It's quite narrow. Well made and cute.

When I saw a friend wearing these sandals, I knew I had to try them. They are great looking, comfortable, and will stay on my quite narrow feet! With my narrow heal, it is challenging to find a shoe I can keep on my feet. Even though the toe area is too wide, the elastic straps at the ankle keep the shoe secure on my feet and they look great. The cushioning makes them much more comfortable than most flat sandals I have tried. I only gave four stars for comfort because of lack of arch support, but that seems to be common with flat sandals. They are comfortable standing and walking. I liked the sage and the camel brown, so I got one of each! Both are great neutral colors.
My only challenge was finding the right size. I had read some reviews that suggested going up a size, so my first order was too big. I then ordered my regular size and it was fine.
The ankle band on my sage sandals is perfect. When the camel brown first arrived, the cardboard foot shaped insert had stretched out the ankle band. I tried it again after it sat for a couple of days without the insert and it had shrunk enough that I could wear it, but one band is still a little loose. That’s for a very small ankle though. I’m so excited to find a good looking sandal I can comfortably wear!

These shoes are worth the price, very comfortable to wear everyday however you need to give time to break them in. These particular sandals are true to size so I would suggest to go up one size. I wear a 9 1/2 and I really wished I ordered a 10. Overall a great purchase.

I love the design and the quality of the sandals and the foot bed is comfortable. I ordered size 5.5 and my feel are narrow and the sandals runs a little small and snug on my feet. I would recommend size at least 1/2 of the size.

These shoes are very comfortable. The leather strap across the toes is not too tight and fits well. I ordered an 8 and am normally a 7.5, but have other sorel and they run a bit short and narrow. The 8's fit perfect. I was a bit disappointed with the foot bed being a vinyl material. For how much I paid for these I think it should be made of leather or something nicer. The elastics around the ankles are very soft and comfortable and don't rub in any places too much. I love that you can dress these up with a skirt or wear with shorts or jeans. Very versatile.

I really like this sandal. I have it in three colors. The leather is soft and the colors are pretty. The sandal runs small. I'm a true size 10 but I had to get a 10 1/2 for this model.
