Loved the look but fit was small, narrow, no room in toe box and I’m really disappointed but they are going back.

This model is very different than any Asics I have previously owned. First off, they run a little long, and the heel cup sits high, so until they break in, there will be some slippage (read: blisters). I sized down 1/2 size. Regarding width: I wear a wide width and the toe box actually has plenty of room to accommodate. Every Asics pair I've ever had has been comfortable right out of the box, and these were quite rigid. I decide to keep them because I love the style (much more streamlined) and because never have I ever owned a pair of shoes with such amazing grip on wet surfaces. I'm talking wet pavement, concrete, rocks AND snowy/icy versions of the same surfaces. These shoes are STICKY. Asics should seriously make tires out of this outsole material. My full break-in period was about 2 weeks. The soles have given way to my high arches and I finally have a perfectly molded shoe.

Can I return for 91/2

I love the style and outsole of this shoe. The traction really grips well on a variety of surfaces. I’ve used these shoes running and hiking on a variety of trail surfaces. Unfortunately the toe box is too narrow for me; and there is not any cushioning in the forefoot (I even switched out the insole for an orthotic). I have Morton’s neuroma, and a couple of crooked toes (from previously breaking them), and a tendency to overpronate/with fallen arches when I run. I hope ASICS puts this outsole on some of their more cushioned shoes.
