The best neutral road shoe from Hoka. I also love the Bondi, but they are beasts - great for training days or walking, but not as fast as the Elevon. The fabric is definitely the best ever for Hoka - by far the most comfortable and finally a decent looking Hoka! I often find Hoka's to run narrow and this one is thankfully true to size. Love 'em.

I love running in my Hokas. They are amazingly comfortable and take away so much shock on my leg joints. Finding these shoes has saved my legs.

I'm 6'4, 215 lbs, and Army SF. Need something for a bigger runner who has abused their body, these guys have been nothing less then awesome. Been training up for the hawaii marathon and all I can do is give these guys "high praise."

Just grabbed my 5th pair of Hoka's with 3 of them Vanquish 2 and 3. Didn't think it possible but this shoe definitely takes a step up! :-) I am a 275 pound marathon runner and this shoe is perfect for me. Love the Bondi but this shoe is more responsive and has just the right degree of firmness for my size. Not too narrow so no hot spots and the toe box doesn't scrunch my toes. I will run the LA Marathon in March 2019 and this will be my shoe! Well done Hoka! Now create some apparel for big guys and you will win the day!

These are my second Hoka one one shoes. I use these for work (office). They feel super light and great cushion. I plan to use these for running once I stop using my Arahi 2 shoes. These feel alot wider for wide feet then my Arahi 2's. I plan on buying more of the elevon's in different colors.

Casual wear. Great looking sneaker. The one issue that I have is the narrow front. But overall good.

ON LINE this product looks like it has lavender or purple colors in it; however, after ordering it is grey. the color on the internet is NOT the color when received. I sent back and reordered another color. Quality of the shoe is not in question

I have had, and worn through, four different pairs of Hoka. And now with my problematic feet...40 years as a ballerina and now a joint disease....I thought I was done hiking. So upon the advice of a wonderful customer service representative, I picked a completely different shoe, and I am back to hiking. She steered me to the mens wide for my distorted ball of the foot, and I added a heel pad. The stability is so strong, the cushioning is superb, and the colors are fun. I thank you, my dogs thank you!

I'm 30 years old and I believe this is the first time I've ever reviewed a product online; I feel quite compelled to do so. For the past year I have worn Nike's most cushioned shoe (Vomero), which I found after exhaustive research. Once I realized that my knee discomfort was in no way actually improving with a highly cuchsioned, "plush" shoe, I dove into another round of shoe research. I settled on the Elevon, and they are as close to perfect for me as I could imagine. Their minimal design feels incredible: slight, zero bulk, solid. This shoe is the epitome of "everything you need, nothing you do not". The moment I tried them on I knew they were the shoe I had been searching for, and after 10 or so runs, they are indeed the shoes for me.

I was a fan of the Vanquish 2, liked the quicker turnover compared to other models. The ride is not as plush as the Clifton, which I like. Like the Vanquish, it takes about 8-10 miles to break in and get a little more cushion but still have a quick turnover. They mesh upper is an improvement over V2, more compliant and comfortable. They are my go-to for long runs.

I've spent the past few years running in the Clifton 3, so that is my frame of reference in this review. The Clifton 3 was fantastic for me (6'4", 230 lbs, athletic build) but it always felt a bit squishy without a ton of energy return. I was really worried about trying out this Elevon as the vanquish series was far to narrow for me in the toe. So when these finally showed up, I was relieved to find out that they fit like a glove. I've parked a 7 miler and a 9 miler on the Elevon over the past two weeks and switched off between the Elevon and the Clifton 3 for shorter runs. Yes, the Elevon is not as squishy as the Clifton 3, but man is it still one comfy shoe. It has PLENTY of cushioning for a me and is also more responsive than the Clifton 3. I don't know that I'll ever completely walk away from the Clifton 3 for those Monday recovery runs, but as for the rest of the week, the Elevon is my new favorite and go-too shoe. After the whiff on the Clifton 4, I think Hoka nailed it with the Elevon. It's expensive, but well worth it in my opinion and yes I will purchase more in the future. Important Note: When I first put these on, I immediately noticed the overlay for the laces on the top of my foot just behind my toes. My initial reaction was "oh brother, here we go". At that moment I would have put a hundy on me ending up blisters on the top of my foot after a mile or two. However, after a mile or two the overlay feeling just vanished completely. It's like they just needed a little break in time. If you notice the same thing when you try them on for the first time, don't panic as I did. Just wear them for a bit and you'll be fine. I'm so glad I gave them a run first because these puppies are truly fantastic.

This is my second review after logging 20 miles in the correct size. As I reported earlier the shoe is more true to size than the Vanquish 2 which required me to go up a half size to fix the narrow problem. In the Elevon I am back to my normal size!! After exchanging my 11 1/2 for an 11 I put the shoes on and went straight out for a 12 mile run. The new upper is soooo comfortable and soft, a huge improvement over the Vanquish 2 (which I loved). Hoka apparently listened to the complaints and gave us a little more room in the toe, not just a longer shoe, but a more roomy shoe. The road feel and grip of the new rubber pattern is also much improved over the Vanquish. The shoe feels springy but also has that nice soft Hoka feel. The balance between the two is great with this update. I also wanted to respond to the other reviewer from Florida that says this shoe is Hot. I live in Boston and ran in the Vanquish 2 the day before getting the Elevon, the temperature was in the low 30s both days and my feet were very cold in the Elevon compared to the Vanquish. Granted the Vanquish is a hot shoe so maybe if you are not comparing the Elevon to other shoes you would come to a conclusion that they are warm but after spending the last two years running the majority of my long runs in the Vanquish 2 I can tell you that the Elevon is not anywhere near as hot, not even the same ball park... in fact the second night I ran in wool socks to keep my feet warm. Granted it is winter in New England so of it is cold so I look forward to seeing how they do in May when I get some warm weather. Great shoe Hoka, I can't wait to try the resy of the new line up!!

22 nd pair of Hoka shoes. Started with a Stinson, then a Bondi and multiple pairs of every gen of Clifton. Feels like a more comfy Clifton 4 just slipping them on, more on that later. The drop is the same, the width everything. Just ran 10k. I'm a big, slow guy, about 135 miles per month. Cushion is everything for me, not speed. So, the feel like they have more cushion and are more stable the the Clifton 4, especially if you are a heel striker. I'm not. They have more hi abrasion rubber in the areas that my C4's wear out, thats good. Don't feel heavier even though they are. The upper is like a big sock with no vinyl overlays. Thats the question mark. Will my pinkie toes poke thru prematurely? Don't know yet. So, feels like a cushier Clifton and will likely last a month longer on the sole, not sure about the upper. It breathes better simply because there is no air restriction. So is it worth 30 bucks more? As long as the upper wears ok, then yes, go for it.

I bought these in August of 2020. I run 10-20 miles a week and have always found these to provide a wicked cushion and adequate stability. However, I'm disappointed to find that the left shoe is tearing where the fabric meets the rubber bottomafter only 400 miles (and immaculate care). A solid shoe, but the lack of quality construction leaves me wanting.
