I had high hopes for these to fit well & be my new casual yet supportive shoes, especially considering the high reviews. But unfortunately they’re extremely uncomfortable! The top of the shoe feels very stiff & thick making them very hard to walk in. The canvas is substantial & probably would wear well and last, plus the arch has lots of support especially compared to other brands of similar shoes. But I’m returning them to continue my search!

I chose the Plim Soul over the Moc Star and similar designs b/c I liked the stacked sole and it felt like it had more stability. However, I'm having a hard time with the fabric upper being too stiff. I've worn them twice and they are not comfortable along the top of my foot. Wearing a Bomba no-show sock isn't enough (too thin) but if I go to something thicker like an athletic type sock, then the shoe feels too small. I'm really hoping they break in over time. Right now I can only tolerate wearing them on occasions where i do minimal walking. Disappointing as they are a very cute shoe!

The reviews made these sound amazing! NOT! They feel like stepping on cement soles. And they run small. If I size up 1/2 size and buy a wide, they fit, but they don't feel good. All 3 pairs, in 3 different sizes, are going back.

I read the reviews and ordered accordingly. The insole is INCREDIBLY THICK!!! THAT'S the reason for the too small size issue. If you take the insoles out, the shoes fit perfectly. But, then there is no support at all. It's the weirdest thing I've ever encountered in a shoe. Other than that, the shoe is darn cute but useless for me. :(

I first ordered one size larger as suggested in other reviews, but they felt big and made my feet look gigantic (the style of the shoes is a bit bulky). So then I decided to order my regular size which felt good when I first tried them. There is enough space between my big toe and the end of the shoe, so I decided to keep them. I wore them for the first time to drop my daughter to school and the canvas felt really stiff, but no big deal. Then I wore them to a small amusement park and by the end of the morning my feet were killing me. The shoes were rubbing against my little toes and heel really badly, and my big toe nail was rubbing against the canvas. I decided to wear the shoes without the insole (which has great cushion and it is fairly thick) and use some thin insoles instead, but I am still having problems. I think the main problem is how stiff and rough the shoe canvas is. It is a shame because I do like the design. I don't think I can continue wearing these shoes and unfortunately it is too late to return them. I hope I can find someone who can wear them.

Cute and fit ok, but just a little wide. Didn't like them enough to pay the price. Sorry!

I ordered these in two sizes: my normal size, and a half size larger. In my normal size, I couldn't even get the shoe on my foot. In the larger size, I got the shoes on, and they seemed like the right size, but the area under the toes is so hard! Why would they make the toe area so hard compared to the rest of the insole? It feels like wood. The canvas also has no give and there's not just a whole lot of wiggle room up front. My toes felt weirdly sore trying these on around the house. The shoes also slip off the ankle. These are cute to look at, but awful to wear.

I went up a half-size to see if they would feel better than what I usually wear, but the soles are still too stiff and my heel slips out of the shoe with every step.

I love the Moc Stars but at the time of this purchase they did not make them in black. I bought the Plim Soul in 2020 and they still give me blisters. The canvas has barely softened. So if you have sensitive feet I would stay away from these and get the Moc Star instead. The material is way softer and broken in. I never had a problem with blisters. The look of the Plim Soul is great, just wish the material wasn't so stiff.

I have very wide feet and high arches. They were really cute and they didn't fit. Returning.

Not flexible at all. Felt off. Sent back. Stiff. Not a good fit.

These are very heavy and feel clunky to me they look cute but unfortunately are being returned.

I love Taos shoes. Unfortunately, I had to return these because the soles were squeaking on all surfaces- they were so loud.

I almost didn't try these because I thought they might be too girly for a lady in her early 70's. Well, turns out they were really, really cute with casual pants. Unfortunately, I have very little padding on the bottom of my feet, a very high arch, and plantar fasciitis. These have a very flat sole and just didn't provide any cushioning or arch support, even with my custom orthotics. Sigh. Have to return. I guess they're for younger ladies after all.

After many months, these shoes still haven't broken in. The shoes are still really stiff and cause pain if I walk more than a mile.

These are the second pair of Taos I've tried on, and they felt the same as the first pair: stiff. They just don't feel quality to me, nor comfortable in the least. The arch support just doesn't feel like it's there at all, or it's hitting in the wrong places. I just can't see the hype over this brand at all.

So uncomfortable. The shoe doesn’t move or bend well, and the tongue is annoying. How do you make a simple sneaker so uncomfortable? Style-wise, it’s ok, but not great.

Unbelievably squeaky and loud. Too bad, they’re cute!.. but I sound like Spongebob walking around on the kitchen floor.

They were very cute. But, as soon as I put them on my feet, I felt like I was too old for these. I am also short and fat. Everything was fine. I am just not used to this kind of shoe, I am too used to Danskos. I just wanted to try a different look. The support felt weird to me. Sorry I can't be more specific.

While I liked the look of the shoe, the heels slipped off my foot on both shoes. I felt sure this would not change over time. The fabric was also stiff as other's had indicated. I went with my other choice - the Moc Star - and have found them cute and comfortable.
