Like the "Vans" style. Look great with my skinny pants. They have major arch support. But shockingly no padding underneath the ball of foot and toes. My feet were getting bruised, so I cut the front toe part of some unused shoe inserts and insert them under the removable insert. Thank goodness the insert was removable.

I love the look and style of the shoes. They are, however, very stiff. A bit too hard but I like them enough to keep them.

I ordered 1/2 size up as per reviews ( same as I do in running shoes). The length was perfect, but my little toe rubbed on the side and my heel rubbed when walking.

I'm sad to return these. I have low arches, and a size 8 is too narrow across the instep, and an 8.5 is too long. The insole is so thick that my heels slip in both sizes, but for the price of the shoe, it's not worth replacing.

Reviews said to order half size up.. that was too big for me. Also felt a little snug but could stretch canvas. Returning for my normal size.

I liked the rich red color, but didn't like the plimsole style, as it has too much white rubber. I have two pairs of Star style, and they are wonderful.

I normally wear an 8, but I ordered an 8.5 because of their recommendation. They are just a bit too large, so my heels slip a little in the back. It could be the insole, but I don't want to remove it because I need the arch support and I'm clearly paying for it with the price of the shoe. I have a feeling an 8 would be too small, and they are very cute, so I'm keeping them.

Really cute but they are too long. Smaller size won't fit due to width. Oh well...

As someone with a narrow foot I couldn’t get this shoe to fit. No matter how I laced them my heel slipped right out. Very cute and good support but not for narrow feet. PS: Zappos - please don’t include a filter choice for narrow sizes. Total waste of time to even bother using that filter option.

I had a different Taos tennis shoe style and ordered the exact same size but this shoe felt a smooch bigger. Th shoe is a bit stiff and slid on my heel. So sadly I returned this shoe and will try again with a different style.

I am trying to find the right fit. I have ordered an 8-1/2 and a 9. The right shoe on the 8-1/2 feels too short, but the 9 is just too big on both feet. I'm trying another 8-1/2 to see if it's just the one shoe that fits small. Style is super cute, and fit feels good. I'm hoping to be able to find a fit . . .

The Wide Width was just too large in the toe area for me. I felt like I would constantly trip over them.

Reminiscent of Chucks or Vans, but with a decent insole!

I love the look of these but I can't imagine how narrow the regular width is! My last two toes on both shoes feel a bit squished which didn't seem to bother me walking around the house in them. However, after a full day in the classroom on my feet and there's no way I could wear these two days in a row! My feet were aching by the time I got home. I had plans to order in another color but I'm going to give these a bit more wear time before even considering another pair. I might try the "baggie filled with water put in the freezer trick" to see if that helps.

I really like the look of this shoe, and it seems to have good arch support. However, it is not a good choice for people who need cushioning in their soles. Testing the shoes by walking on carpet, I felt as if I were walking barefoot on a concrete floor.

I like them but they are just ok. Since they are pricey, I wanted them to be really comfortable right out of the box. Tried them on multiple times before deciding to return them. Just not worth the expense.

I wish they fit better but, the supportive insert they use, while great, causes my heel to piston out of the back. It’s just too high and my foot doesn’t sit down far enough in the shoe. I tried my own inserts which were better but that’s the whole point of Taos is that they have this supportive inside. Why pay for something you’re not going to use? They are adorable! I’m bummed.

Coloring is much more warm than the photos show. Yes, it calls it "grey", but I was expecting a warm grey and got a cold grey.

I ordered wide but it was too narrow and rubbed the side of my foot. Cute shoes though. Wish they had fit.

The reviews said they were so comfy. I was skeptical because they look like converse or keds and I don’t find those shoes to be comfy. THE REVIEWS ARE CORRECT these shoes are crazy comfy right out of the box. I also have custom insoles in my other shoes and I haven’t used them in this shoe. The regular insoles provide enough arch support for my high arches. They do run small, I ordered a bigger size AND in wide and that was just right.

I usually wear an 8.5w and ordered a 9w. Unfortunately, the toe box is more tapered than the Taos Star and rubbed against my toes. I will return and buy the stars instead.

I'm only giving these 4 stars for comfort because they are very stiff and have required a break in time. The foot bed is comfortable and what I expect of Taos, though, and I like the look of them. They are a bit bulkier than the other style they have and remind me of Vans a bit. I went for a long walk in them yesterday and don't have any blisters or soreness. ?
