Taos run small. Even without socks these were to short and don't come in 10.5. 11 is too big. I don't know why a person can't have 10.5 sized feet but can have 9.5 sized feet?

I wear orthotics so I went to remove the insole from these sneakers to put my orthotics in as I normally do. It turned out that the shoe insole was surprisingly good. So good that I left it in the shoe and do not need orthotics with these sneakers. Really comfortable shoes straight out of the box. I wore them all day yesterday and my feet felt great. I bought this brand on a lark, but I will be back for more pairs.

LOVE these shoes!!! I've tried Keds, Converse, Vans, Superga....all trying to find that cute sneaker to wear with, well, everything! I've finally found it! This shoe is amazing, super comfy right out of the box, AND it has arch support which neither the Converse or Superga had. So, I'm also going to order it in the Charcoal color and I'm praying they never stop making this model because other Taos sneakers have run too short in the toe box.

Great arch support. I'm normally a size 8, these shoes run very small. I'm returning and ordering half a size up. Hope that's enough. If you like lots of room consider a whole size up. I have a wide foot and they were perfect in width.

This is a really great shoe that just didn't fit my weird feet well. I like the thicker sole (versus the Star) that comes with the Plim Soul. The arch support is quite good for this type of shoe. The insole is nicely cushioned and removable. The shoe looks very well made, with just enough cushioning to make them feel more substantial than other canvas shoes. Unlike other Taos shoes, these felt true to size.

I really like these shoes. They run a little small so I would go a half size up if you want more room in the toe box but if you like a snug fit your regular size should be ok. The reason I bought these shoes is the arch support. Because usually this type of shoe doesn’t have any arch support. But these have great arch support. They are a little stiff when you first put them on so they will definitely need to be broken in. Overall a great shoe!

I’ve been between a 6.5-7 for a few years it seems and in this shoe, I chose a 7 based on other reviews. Seems perfect with a thin sock on. Barefoot feels slightly large, but I tried a 6.5 on in a store and it felt short. So. 7 it is! I put moderate arch support, but I thinks beyond moderate. At 49 I simply need such support but don’t want to look frumpy and dowdy stylish wise, and these fit the bill! Relatively no break in period. Wore them around house first day for four hours or more. Next day a trip to target, grocery store, wore around house several hours, no discomfort other than the feeling of breaking in a new shoe a tiny bit. Next day wore on an unexpected travel/flight day and out on at 8am and took off at 1am... I think that says a lot! Perfect with jeans, khakis, shorts or a casual dress. I don’t always want to be in exercise clothes if we walk a few miles to go grab a bite to eat in town, and these will be a great option.

These are a nice alternative to my regular converse. They have great arch support for my “getting older” feet and are comfortable to wear all day on my feet teaching. I had to exchange my usual size 8 for an 8.5, so they run a little small. Happy with these shoes!

Love these shoes! Good support and great fun to look at. I purchased the size 11 in the denim color. The fabric is stiff, but softens quickly. The support is unheard of for this type of shoe. I want more!

Great shoe. Walked through Italy for a month with only these shoes. So very comfortable. Miles of walking and not even a tired foot. I ordered up a half size based on other reviews. I get plenty of compliments on them. I bought the gray and change the shoelaces often. Gives them an added flair. The ones in the photo are two years old. Ready for some new ones!!

I tried these and the Taos Star, and kept these (Plim Soul). I normally wear a 7.5 to 8 in regular shoes, and these fit well in a size 8. The Taos Star fits well in a 8.5, so these fit closer to true-to-size where the Star requires purchasing up almost a full size from normal. Both shoes have great cushioning and arch support, but I had a little trouble with how the Star fit in the ankle (rubbing), whereas the Plim Soul felt perfect. While I liked both, I actually liked the look of the Plim Soul a bit more as it reminds me more of the Superga COTU, which was a shoe I always wanted, but doesn't have the same support. I also prefer that the laces match the shoe color and are not white. They have significant arch support, so I was actually a bit sore in the arch the first time I wore them for a day when I was walking extensively (I have one collapsed arch), but my feet adapted after the first wearing and ever since I have found them very comfortable and supportive every time I wear them. I also tried the Teva Freewheel washed canvas and really liked those too. They are very comfy in the footbed, but don't have as much arch support. Most of the time they would be fine, but since I was planning to walk a lot in Europe I knew the support of the Taos would be better. I love the Teva's enough that I would keep them, but they are the same color as the Plim Soul's I bought and I just don't need another pair of this style of sneaker. Highly recommend the Plim Soul.

I am pretty true to size as a 7.5, but ordered an 8 based on reviews. I ended up buying a 7.5 in the charcoal (because this color wasn't available) because the shoe was too big and my heel kept coming out. The 7.5 shoes were a little close on the sides of my toe box area, but after a half day wearing them it loosened. The heel is still a bit loose, but more manageable than the 8. For me true to size worked. I like that I can buy and try shoes on from Zappos and send back the ones that didn't work out. Thanks Zappos!

I purchased these to replace my Vans which have non existent arch support. These have decent arch support and are very stylish. I usually wear a size 7.5 and I ordered these in an 8 based off of the reviews I read. The 8 fits perfectly. If you are looking for a shoe that has a little bit more support than your typical pair of Vans then I think you’ll be happy with these.

I loved the look of this shoe and ordered the white and the terracotta. Ordered 1/2 size up, as recommended but my the heel kept falling off my foot. Ordered my normal size 8.5 which fit fine, with plenty of room in the toe box and much less slippage. I found my Superfeet orthotic more comfortable than the supplied insole. This shoe is a bit heavy. The problem I had with this shoe is the stiff canvas, with stitching or seams that rubbed against my pinky toe and other parts of my foot. This seems to be a common problem with canvas shoes. I tried them with and without socks but the canvas still dug in and I knew they would never work for my sensitive feet. Perhaps if they used a soft lining. Such a shame. I really wanted them to work but needed to send them back.

Recently discovered Taos shoes and love love love them! Thank you Zappos for carrying them! Feels like I can walk forever in these, they sport the best arch support I’ve found, and the styling is right on trend! Like many other reviewers I’d suggest ordering a half size up. Highly recommend!!

Was looking for a casual sneaker with arch support for my high arches. Followed the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size up. The support hits my arches in the right spot ( unlike some other brands that hit closer to my heel). Comfortable. Would order again. I ordered the grey in 8.5. Worn at work with no complaints (I teach high school so on my feet 98% of the day).

I'm an over-50 female. My feet tend to be on the wide-ish side (I rarely need a wide-width shoe, but there are some shoe brands I can't wear because they are too slim). I was worried when I saw so many others saying they had to size up, but I decided to go with my regular size (8). I have to say they fit perfectly. They felt a little snug for the first half of the first day I wore them, but feel fine now. Plenty of arch support and heel cradling. Really comfortable and super cute. So glad I got these.

These shoes are great! I have problem feet (wide width, tiny size - 5.5, low arches, bunions) that not many shoes or brands can accommodate so looking for any with style is nearly impossible. I had high hopes after reading all the Zappos reviews and I'm happy to say that the Taos Plim Soul has delivered. I've worn these shoes for one year now and the reviews are pretty accurate. The arch support is amazing, the toe box is roomy, the style is actually really cute and youthful, the foot bed is removable and while it is easy to stain, it's also easy to clean off. I've put these shoes in the washer at least 4 times in a year - the shape retains and with a little prep work beforehand, they come out looking (almost) new. The only downside that I believe was also mentioned in a few other reviews was the break in period. The back of these shoes dug into my heels in the beginning, so much that I stopped wearing them for a period. I think most people may deduct a star but because my feet have so many struggles, I think the benefits outweigh the unfortunate con. I'm actually thinking of buying a back up pair just in case!

I have so many issues with my feet...plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, and metatarsal pain. Ugggg. Anyway, although I really like my Chucks, Sperry’s and Tretorns, they don’t provide my feet with the support and comfort like Taos sneakers. Literally, these shoes are so comfortable right out of the box.....I can wear them all day without having to worry about “breaking them in”. This is my second pair of Taos sneakers, and I’ll definitely purchase more in additional colors. They are cute, and very stylish. I wear mine with jeans, shorts, khakis and/or casual dresses, and they look great. Due to the orthotic sole (which can be removed), the shoe runs about 1/2 size small. I usually wear an 8.5, but purchased a 9, and they’re perfect.

I purchased my third pair of white Supergas back in March. I got home from errands the other day and kicked them off in a fury because my feet hurt so bad after ten minutes of wearing them. I considered buying the Plim Sole before I bought the Supergas but I thought I would stick with what I was used to. That was a mistake! The difference between these sneakers and any other in my closet is drastic! They are so supportive, they even feel like they stabilize my ankle. I have an issue with my heel feeling bruised and these have just enough squish for help with that. Love them!!

I ordered a half size up, they fit perfect. I also ordered some Nike sneaker Sox since I didn’t have anything like that. My only complaint is that they are a little stiff and rub the back of my ankle, but I’m hoping that will get better after they are broken in. In my opinion, the arch support is fantastic compared to many similar styles, which is very important to me.

I normally wear my Hoka Bondi 7s when I know I'll need long-term support for my feet. I wear my Hokas at work, standing all day, and a second pair for my walking shoes. But I was going to Europe and wanted a cute shoe to wear touring around that wouldn't scream "American tourist." I'm new to Taos; I normally wear a 6.5w in most other shoes but I found I needed a 7w in these. When they arrived I loved the look of the light gray canvas and the classic style--just what I wanted--something cute to go with a casual dress or jeans and shorts. I kept the laces laced as they came, just loosened to fit appropriately. They felt like they had support when I first put them on, but they *looked* like a basic non-supportive flat shoe. They also rubbed a touch on the top of my foot, along the first knuckles of my toes. Would these work for the long hours of hauling only carry-on luggage through connecting flights to Europe? Walking around all day in museums and exploring towns on tours? I was skeptical, so I wore them all day while cleaning the house and packing the day before we left. That tight feeling at the top of my foot was gone by the end of the day, which buoyed my hopes for the rest of the vacation. They are a solid shoe - not heavy, but not lightweight. These shoes were crazy comfortable through EVERYTHING for two straight weeks. I normally wear inserts for slight arch support and comfort but I didn't need them in these! I lived in these on the travel days (always with some form of sock), including near-running for trains and planes. I wore either these or my Teva sandals around town and my feet still felt great at the end of the day. These Plim Souls had plenty of room for my crazy 30° bunion feet but kept my entire foot in place and supported. I'm still shocked they are as comfortable as they are. And so cute!!! I'm already looking for a second pair.

I'm keeping this one! I like the neutral beige wash canvas and the comfortable and supportive fit of this Taos Plim Soul shoe. I've purchased many Taos sneakers and tried many as well, and I thought this one looked like it might hold up a little longer than some others just because of the thicker sole. I also feel like it doesn't make my foot look so long and flat as compared to Taos Star or the Moc Star. I usually wear a size 9 1/2 and that's what fit. I actually have two pair of the Taos Star that somehow I purchased in a size 10 two years ago, and now I know why I don't like wearing them. When this type of shoe is too long, the toe area wrinkles up over time where it's too long and it's not a good look. You see, at the same time I bought these two 10's, I also bought a 9 1/2 in gray and the gray ones are my favorite and look nicer after two years of wearing. Taos has lots of choices and Zappos has lots of patience (LOL), so keep trying and you'll find your perfect shoe!
