Very good support... perfect for lifting. I'm still looking for a 'squat shoe' with strap over the top and lifted heel, but this will be my shoe for all other lifts. The "lace garage" sounded gimmicky, but I really like it! Note: this is NOT an outdoor shoe! There is ventilation through the sole (!!!!) so indoors only.

An avid trainer, I work out 4-5 times per week - cardio and personal training. I've tried everything - Reebok, Cloud, New Balance, Nike. These are the best and my first review of any shoe.

Asics have always fit my feet well and in starting Crossfit, I need a flat shoe for lifting and such. It does not have the padding, like the Kayano, but for lifting and cross training it is very stable. Reebok owns the crossfit brand, so these can't be advertised as such. If you need a shoe for lifting, stability, etc., this is a wonderful shoe. Note: This shoe is for stability not for running. Therefore, I don't run in it and only for that reason I gave it lower rating in comfort than what I would give their running shoes.

The Conviction x2 shoes fit as good as Kayanos but are trimmer allowing quicker lateral movements and solid footbed feel. I could not be happier.

Bought these for cross training and I use them for boxing. Light, durable and effective.

I had the first conviction generation, even though they were great they did hold up well with time. Come around the conviction X2, these shoes can take a pounding and look brand new( I already have 7 months them). The tongue pouch awesome, I believe the designers put a lot of thought into this shoe. I did try the competition (even all the big names) before I made my decision, and the comfort to functionally ratio is by far better in these shoes I tried. Finally, another nice feature is the extra layer on the inner sides to climb ropes . It is a must buy

It has taken me years to find a shoe that could replace my Crossfit Nanos, and these have done it. The model I use(d) is going on 5 years old and every subsequent model from them has been a failure. These though are near perfect. The footbed looks narrow but is not the arch support is spot-on, the toe box is wider than it looks, heel lockdown it good (not great) and the hiding the laces in the tongue is brilliant. The lacing system is standard where it could have been something more. My only real gripe with the shoe is that it runs a lad long. I'm quite surprised at how little Ascis markets theses. They have a real winner here.

This is my first training shoe which I bought to stop lifting in running shoes. It runs long (had to go down 1/2 size) and feels tight out the box but fits comfortably after a few workouts. After trying several options before buying this shoe, it seems that trainers are either short run or heavy lifting oriented and this one is the latter. Many running shoes have a thick & cushiony sole while this has a low & sturdy sole that allows you to generate more power when pushing thru your heels. My strength and elliptical workouts have definitely improved since buying these shoes!

Snug fit but still cushy, great stability without being a flat. Love this shoe!

The X2 are quite better than the previous ASICS cross trainers I had (Fuzex TR). Contrary to my wife's advice, I tried the Nike and Reebok hipe to no avail. The previous mentioned brands did not fit me as well and were as comfortable as the X2. However, today I put the X2 to the test and did my first WOD (Barbara), wow it exceeded my expectations. Now I have to put them to the test with power lifting, I will update once I do. So definitely try them out, even though there not the big brands and don't shy just because ASICS specializes in running shoes (which are also great).

True fit, comfortable and durable. I use them for lifting and running. Wish they made more colors for them. Besides that extremely happy with this product.

Bought these because Nike metcons are awful for running and these are miles ahead in that way. BUT for heavy lifting (cleans, snatches, jerks, etc) it could use some width in the heel. But you can always buy lifters for that. Other than that this is my best CrossFit's shoe.
