Once again, Brooks decided to change the fit along with the design of the Adrenaline GTS and screwed it all up. I've been wearing Adrenaline GTS's for about 10 years now and once previously they made the design fit more narrow and I couldn't wear them (maybe 2 versions ago?). Luckily, the next redesign they fixed the issue - but this time, they've made the shoe slightly longer (I compared it to my GTS 17s) and because of that, the shoes are eating my socks! The heel slips slightly, so within 5 minutes, my sock had disappeared halfway down my foot and is bunched up and painful. I've tried 3 different lace configurations (not easy, because they also cheaped out on the laces and they are shorter than in the past) and tried tightening (which caused numbness and didn't fix the issue). I wear no-show socks and tried a couple different pair/brands and all socks slipped. I've never had this issue with the GTS and I'm really disappointed that Brooks changed the fit like this. I have massive issues finding shoes that fit properly and don't turn painful, and the GTS was always my "no brainer" shoe - always fit, always comfortable, even when I'm putting lots of miles on them. I guess I have to wait for the 19s and hope I can find an alternative since my 17s are really worn out. Also, the "heather" colors on the women's GTS shoes are atrocious. I find them really ugly.

So sad that Brooks decided to change up the Adrenaline. And the fun colors are gone, too! If I had known a change was coming, I would have bought up every pair of the previous versions in my size. Right now, I'm scouring the internet for them. This shoe runs a half size smaller than previous versions and half size narrower. The arch support hit me almost under my ankle bone. I need black for my summer job, so I'll try the men's shoe and see if the fit is better. If not, I'm moving on to another brand.

I returned the shoes. Just like many of the reviews for 18 said -- the arch is in the wrong location in the foot bed. For me, it's too far back -- under my heel. Very uncomfortable to even stand on much less walk.

It all depends on what you want the shoe for. A podiatrist once told me that, if you have plantar fascitis, any shoe you wear must pass the "twist and bend test." You grab the sole at the front and at the heel and then twist. If that sole torques at all, not a good shoe for PF. If the toe bends up real easily, not a good shoe for PF. This shoe may feel comfortable at first, but you will probably end up triggering PF.

My big toes were going numb after walking a long distance in these shoes. I went to a podiatrist and he said Brooks totally redesigned this shoe and it fits differently. I loved the lighter feel of this shoe, but had to go back to my old shoes to stop my toes from going numb. Thoroughly disappointed.

Zappos always is great. This new design for the Adrenaline’s is just awful! I buy at least 3 pairs a year and now I’m scrambling to find another sneaker! These have no support whatsoever! I should have paid attention to the other reviews!

I have worn Brooks for years & usually buy 2 pair per year. Until now, the quality has been very good, but this Adrenaline 18 has no arch support or stability & the entire upper is mesh. I don’t understand why they have changed this design & will be looking for a new brand.

The soles are made of concrete. I have no more to say and I couldn’t walk in them either.

I have been an Adrenaline running fan for years. I don't know why shoe manufacturers insist on changing a model of shoe that works. This new model of Adrenaline has very little support or cushioning of the older models. It is quite apparent, Brooks took the "fad" route and applied the "minimalist" construction model to this shoe. I took one look at it's picture and you can see that this is true. It is good for walking and that is it. Found a pair of Mizuno Wave's that support and cushion.
