I’ve been wearing Brooks Gylcerin and wanted to try a different style. I have small but wide feet and finding sneakers that fit is a nightmare - until I found brooks. The glycerins are just so pricey and I’m not a runner so I just need sneakers to wear to Zumba, boot camp etc. I ordered the same size in these as the glycerins. I’m normally a women’s size 51/2 W - I wear a 6. These have a lot of width too them, nice for wider feet but probably not too wide for standard feet :) they feel like I’m walking on cushions so comfy! Haven’t put them to the test yet but fit is great

These are very comfortable shoes. I'm a very finicky shoe wearer. Nice cushion and a little arch support. I wear these shoes a lot.

I love Brooks usually, but these make me feel like I am standing a little leaning forwards.. They are not comfy for my lower back pain. The cushioning was great though!

As a sufferer from Plantar Fasciitis I'm always looking for shoes with good arch support. I heard that Brooks offered good arch support and since this pair was less than $100 I decided to give them a try. Yes, the arch support is good but overall comfort for me is average. After wearing them all day I had some discomfort on the outer side of one of my feet.

This is my second pair, and they are light as a cloud and very stylish. I like that they have that wider sole, so you can’t roll around as much. Not great arch support, but pretty good in every other category.

I am a loyal fan of Brooks shoes, and I was so happy that these are reminiscent of the Brooks Pureflow that I bought ages ago! The style is on the plain side: mostly gray with just a bit of magenta as the Brooks emblem. However, the materials and the construction of the shoes are all high quality, as to be expected with a quality running shoe. My only advice is to buy a half size larger than you usually do for this shoe. I am a size 9 for Brooks, and although I should have read all of the other reviews that warned to go up a half size, I didn't and I ordered a 9. I wore them for less than a day and realized they would need to be exchanged for 9 and a half. The customer service rep that I went through was awesome! Great job, Cleopatra! With her help, I was able to return my too small pair and get my new pair within days, and they are just so great! They fit well and are light enough to not be a pain when I go out for a run. And so, take the advice of the reviewers when we say to order a half size bigger for these shoes.

Great fit and comfortable - and I have a very hard time finding sneakers that fit as I am between 8.5 and 9. The arch support is great. Love that the design is plain - without all the neon and designs - which is also very hard to find these days. Kind of lo-fi. The only thing I would change is the very bright white bottom - can tell that this would get dirty fast, would prefer to have a dark colored bottom.

This is my third pair of Brooks. I have been please with all of them and I bought this pair because of the price. The only reason I gave it a 4 star overall is that I have not worn them anywhere except in the house. Give me time to see how I feel before asking me what I think.

I usually buy the Brooks Ghost but the price is quite spendy. I looked for similar arch support shoes to try, with the hopes of saving some money. This shoe is very similar to the Ghost as far as arch support and cushioning. I'm pleased with the style and overall comfort. No complaints and love the different colors. I usually wear a 7 in shoes and with Brooks I have always had to go a 1/2 size bigger. I ordered a 7 1/2 in this and in the Ghost and it fits perfectly.

Like many of the other reviewers, I miss the PureConnect. But this is the next best thing! Very supportive, and I like how it is more form-fitting to the foot than other models. My feet tend to slide outwards in most shoes and the Anthem does a good job of securing my feet in a supported position. I feel comfortable running, walking, playing sports, and standing for long hours at my job in these shoes.

Yes, as others have noted runs small. I wear a size 9.5, got the 10 and am debating if I should send back. Didn't seem to have an effect on my over pronation, which is why I may not keep them. Another reviewed said they were helpful with hers, which is why I decided to try.

I liked the weight of the shoe, but the treads on the bottom seem too flimsy for a true running shoe (and I don't love the whiteness of it). I have worn Brooks for many years and this shoe was very tight in 8M (my usual size). I am shipping them back.

These felt so comfortable when I initially put them on, but when I took a walk for the first time, I got about 1/4 mile when I started getting pain in my left foot in the arch area which further escalated to my knee. Otherwise, they feel fine. I won't be wearing these shoes to walk anymore, I'll stick to wearing them on the elliptical. For $90, I don't want to just throw them in the closet.

I really like the sneakers, sadly as a runner they are a bit snug on my big toes and difficult to run in comfortably. They look great, I will be keeping them-just for walking, not running.

I’ve worn Brooks for years and have reliably been a size 10 in several styles, so I didn’t think twice about ordering the 10 in these. Apparently I need a 10.5 or 11. Not a very stylish color combo, but that wouldn’t have kept me from keeping them if they had fit. Really wish brooks would start using grey or black soles instead of bright white.

I only buy Brooks running shoes and these Anthems are not Brooks running shoes. They may be branded Brooks and look like Brooks but, they are garbage. My first run in them was a short 3 mile run which resulted in significant discomfort on the bottom of my left foot. When the pain alleviated I ran with my old Brooks Adrenalines with no issues. When I did another short run in the Anthems the pain returned. I thought it could be a defect in this particular pair but, other similar reviews lead me to believe they have a design flaw. Save yourself a headache AND foot pain.

I always order a full size larger in running shoes, I normally wear an 8 so I bought a 9. These 9s fit like an 8, so they run a size smaller I feel. I ordered these because I loved the original PureConnect, but honestly these were hard as a rock. Zero cushion. Just standing in them was like standing on cement. So, unfortunately, these have to go back.

Love the style of this shoe. I got the size i usually wear. This shoe is very uncomfortable. Very snug and tight, i have a narrow foot and still did not matter. I had even loosened the strings as much as i could, still no luck.

I know that there are lots of great brands of running shoes out there and that each brand has a following. I’m a Brooks person. I flirted with Hoku One One but in the end, I came back to Brooks. I always do. I wear different pairs depending on the type of activity that I’m going to be involved in. I purchased the Anthem mostly because they were cheap and I thought that they’d be a great running around shoe. They’re not. The Anthem runs small - I wear a size 10 in Brooks. If you look on my shoe rack there are 7 pairs of Brooks, and they are all a size 10. Ravenna, Ghost, Adrenaline and Levitate all size 10. The Anthem feel a full half size smaller than a 10. My toes bumped up against the front of the shoe and the toe box feels real tight, too tight. The Anthem also lack any kind of cushion. With the tight toe box and lack of cushion I was reminded of a pair of Special Buy Reebok sneakers I purchased solely because I liked the color of the shoe at Sports Authority.
