I opened this bag and was all set to love the many well-sized pockets, the quality construction, the fact that it stands up on its own if you place it on the floor, and the large water-bottle accommodating side pockets. I loaded in a computer, books and other items I tend to carry when I travel and put it on to try it out. I realized then that this wasn't the bag for me. The straps have been sewn/designed in a way that keeps the loose ends from hanging down but also prevents you from pulling the straps tight (they are sewn in a loop rather than having the tail hang down). I tightened them as far as they would go, but it wasn't enough. The designers of this bag weren't thinking about people under 5'4'' who like to wear backpacks properly on their back rather than having them hang down which makes for uncomfortable walking. If it wasn't for the fit, I would have kept the bag.
