There is nothing warmer than boiled wool. Your feet will never be cold in these slippers, once you actually get them onto your feet. I say this because these slippers are a chore to get on. The opening is far too narrow. I want to qualify my remark by saying I wear a medium and occassionally I need a narrow width, so my foot is not the problem here. Believe me when I tell you that, if you want to hop into your slippers in a hurry, don't buy these slippers. The slipper opening is bound by a kind of bungy thing that doesn't 'bunge," if you get my drift. There is a toggle that is SUPPOSED to make access easier and then later you get to tigten it up. Perhaps it does these things in theory, but not in practice - because it certainly doesn't widen the opening at all. So why am I keeping these slippers you ask? Because they are very comfortable once I do get into them. And VERY warm. I wouldn't begin to try to get into these slippers with heavy socks, but then again, I wouldn't think of wearing heavy socks with them as they would be unbearably warm. So, I have decided to keep them for those times here in Upstate NY when warmth is worth the annoyance of putting them on. Also, I suspect they will stretch in the near future. But I do think that, for the price, Foamtreads should pay better attention to something as simple as designing a slipper that the customer can get her foot into without an unneccesary struggle.

I love these slippers, but have to send them back because they run small. I usually wear size 8, so I ordered a size 8, but these are just too short. I have narrow feet and ankles, so I didn't have any trouble putting them on. I usually swim in most slippers, but the width is great for narrow feet. They feel so warm and comfy - no seams rubbing anywhere. Great soles - would be great indoors and out. Will have to patiently wait to see if a size 9 becomes available..

Very nice slippers. These have a great sole which keep your feet off the cold floor and are still cozy warm. Cute & stylish. These are great slippers!

True to size but not easy to get into. My sister passed on these for something easier to slide her foot into. Before returning them, my wife grabbed them up and says they have gotten easier to get into. She now likes them a lot.

I usually wear a size 6, and the size 7 feels way too snug, so they actually feel MORE than one size smaller than marked. As another customer pointed out, the opening is too small, and the elastic doesn't actually widen it. But, once you get them on your feet, they are wonderful: warm and pillowy, with just the right amount of support. I am keeping them in the hope that they will stretch, as slippers always do. I'd give them 5 starts if it wasn't for this obnoxious feature.
