I love all of my ECCO dress shoes and gore-tex boots. They are usually always comfortable and last longer than other brands. For this purchase I was looking for a walking shoe that would look decently nice with my dress pants. These shoes are very stylish and look well made, however, the first day wearing them, walking from my office to the train on concrete...I was a little disappointed. These shoes just did not feel as supportive toward the front of the foot. Maybe it's a matter of adjusting to this type of style? Also, the shoes became very scuffed up around the toe area. I'm concerned about the long term durability of these shoes. It seems I may need a more supportive ECCO walking type shoe. In the past, I would spend around 100$ for Rocport's mudguard series. The Rockports' were always excellent walking shoes for my purposes. The problem was the Rockports would wear down quickly and look like they were several years old. I bought this ECCO pair looking for similar comfort and hopefully better durability than Rockport. I won't know until I continue to wear them. I'm still happy I decided to keep these shoes for casual wear on the weekends. This is sort of a mixed review, but, these shoes are stylish and cool looking.

I have several pairs of ECCO shoes and I love each pair. I was a bit disappointed with these Sport Terrawalk's. I was looking for a good supportive walking show to take the train to and from my work in downtown Chicago. The front toe support is not very great in that the left side of each foot (by the small toe) sort of slips down. The side of my feet and little toe came out sore and red after wearing the first and second day. Maybe I purchased the wrong style of ECCO? These don't appear to be made for walking on concrete. Maybe this will change as I adjust to this style. Another issue is, the front toe fabric gets scuffed up easily. On the plus side: These shoes look very well made and are stylish. After a couple of days of breaking in, these shoes are light and comfortable to wear for casual weekend outings. I normally buy the Rockport Mudguard series of shoe. They are waterproof and comfortable for walking. The problem with the Rockport's is that they wear down so easily. I thought ECCO would not be the case. I can purchase two pairs of Rockport's (when there's a sale), and spend the same for this one pair of $150 ECCO's.

Ecco has become my go to brand of shoe (dress, casual, golf and walking/hiking). The only reason for the 4 star review on the Terrawalk shoe was it didn't breathe as much as my other Ecco walking shoes and my feet became hot during my 3 mile walk. The shoe is constructed well and extremely comfortable, but the "neoprene" portion of the shoe seemed to keep the heat locked in. It might be a better fall/winter walking shoe.

Good fit and excellent shock absorption. Longevity is unknown at this point.
