I've always been able to wear Keen Venice H20's without difficulty. Usually nice and wide for my wide feet (with bunions)- however this shoe I could not even get my foot into. Even with the velcro back. Returned. Too bad because the style is so cute!

While these did feel true to size, my foot fits comfortably on the sole, the back strap is too short. It kept popping open when I walked. Soooo I fixed it. I cut the strap and then reattached it with about an inch of elastic between the cut bits. Works perfectly and the shoes are now way more comfortable PLUS I can take them off and put them back on without needing my hands.

These almost worked; the toe box was comfortable and the material stretchy, but the design of the heel strap (this one is adjustable) leaves a bit to be desired. There is a piece that holds the loop that was folding in on itself and sticking into the soft spot under/just behind my ankle bone. ouch. And if it had been flat at purchase, I can imaging it curling in on itself once it got wet and dried. Make this with the regular closed heel strap and you have a winner.

I didn't realize until I tried them on that these weren't the Venice shoes I was used to. I wish I had stopped to read the reviews, but didn't think it was necessary, as I own four other pairs. I loved the feel of the foot bed; it seemed even more comfortable than the old design and I loved the comfort and stretchiness of the top part of the shoe. My problem was with the adjustable strap behind the heel; it was too tight and uncomfortable when adjusted to the largest setting. I had to return them.

PLEASE do not listen to the negative reviews of these shoes. I bought a pair at my local shoe store and instantly loved this shoe. I ordered another (more expensive) pair from Zappos because my local store only carried one color. These shoes correct all the problems I have had with Keen shoes in the past. The rear entry is perfect for anyone with foot problems. The velcro strap is great. I love love love these shoes. I wear them 24/7. They are so comfortable. Horrifying back surgery gone bad has left me with nerve damaged legs and feet. These shoes make me want to go out again!!! Buy them.

I loved these for about 1 week. Then the plastic loop on the right heel strap kept slipping so it faces the wrong way and twists the strap and stretches out. The left one is fine, but the right one is not fixable no matter how carefully I try to adjust it. This is the third pair of defective keens I bought this year. Never buying keens again!

Fair warning! I typically wear a size 9-9.5. In this shoe however, I wear a whopping 10.5! I had tried the shoe on in a brick and mortar store and the clerk (who definitely knew what she was doing) told me that the sizing in this shoe would require that I wear a 10.5. She was absolutely right! However, the shoe was so comfortable that I bought a pair and when I got home, I immediately ordered a 2nd pair from Zappos. HOWEVER.... the pair I got from Zappos (a 10.5) definitely fits differently than the pair I bought in the brick and mortar store. It fits, but it's ever so slightly looser. So.... as I said. Fair warning. The sizing is pretty messed up with these Keens. That being said, they are a very flexible shoe, easy on the toes and feet and arches, they provide great balance and are the first shoes in years into which I did not have to insert additional arch support. Somehow, even though they don't look like they have arch support, they do. Finally -- My personal opinion is that they are about the ugliest shoes known to man (or woman) -- but what the heck, they fit, they're washable, and I can stand and walk in them with no discomfort. So I now own two pair. One in gray and turquoise (yikes!) in which to take my morning walks and one in all black to wear out to dinner! What the heck, a pair of fishnet stockings will make any shoe look good! As a final word -- just to give you an idea, I'm soon to be 78 yo.

I love the Velcro heel strap. Much easier to put on. The sole seems harder, which I like, and the heel a little higher. Still very comfortable out of the box. Only thing I dislike is the problem of kicking up stones to inside the foot bed. All my seven pairs have that problem! Overall my favorite shoe. I wear them year round.

The width was just right for me. These sandals are cute and feel so comfortable. It's true, the back strap should be longer but it works for me.

I'm really liking these shoes and I'm starting to wear them a lot. The drawbacks are minor for me but the velcro on the strap could be just a little longer which would make these better if you were to wear thick socks with them. And the footbed doesn't breathe totally well. Still this is a great shoe. On the positive side they are totally comfortable and fit my foot really well, protect my feet especially the toes, look modern, goes with all my clothes, plus they are sturdy etc; A happy customer, I am.

Hooray! I am keeping these. They are comfortable and feel sturdy, and look pretty good. They are very similar to the Keen's I have worn for a few years and many miles, which are still going. They have a nice thick sole with a lot of cushioning for city walking. My only complaint, that I have seen in other reviews, is that the back strap velcro is placed so that it can't be let out very much. The velcro does not have much overlap and I hope it holds. It is a surprising design flaw for a brand as good as Keen's.

These sandals needed no break in time. I wore them all day the first day with no problems. Lighter weight than all of my other Keen sandals. I have wide feet with a high instep and high arch but I don't need arch support. They fit very well and were true to size. Less clunky than other keen sandals. I'm ordering them in a 2nd color.

I don’t have huge feet but the velcro strap was not long enough, even though my foot fits perfectly in the shoe. I love the way they look and feel, sooo...I did what another reviewer did, I cut the strap and added/sewed about 1.5 inches of 3/4 in. elastic in between. Now they fit perfectly!!

Shoe overall runs quite small.

I didn't notice that these were Venice II, not my usual plain old Venice. The straps at the back of the heel fasten with Velcro and have almost no stretchiness. This makes them hard to put on and take off. The arch support is less than in the earlier version of Venice. I can't wear them.

I have had Keen sandals before and loved them. The new construction made it difficult and painful to wear, due to the tightness of the band across the top of my foot in front of my ankle. There isn’t a way to adjust it, and stopped the circulation in my foot. The old style gave options to adjust the top of the sandals. Another problem that occurred was the strap behind the ankle was so short that it didn’t allow the Velcro to stay attached. The old style had a loop that allowed the back strap to slide up into place. The adjustments were all done on the top to loosen or tighten the fit. Construction would be better, if they go back to the earlier version.

I loved these shoes. Unfortunately they have to be returned. I have worn Keen Whisper sandals for years in size 11. I need more arch support. Someone recommended the Venice sandals for arch support. They do provide support but the shoes run a half size small. The largest size in this shoe is size 11. Come on Keen! Either size these true to size or offer them in the next size.

Like so many other reviews, the sole is fine, the back velcro strap is about 3 inches too short and makes the shoe unwearable. Defective design. Not sure why Zappos is still selling this model.

I have had two prior pain of Keen Venice sandals and have loved them Last week the lace broke on on one and as they were over 5 years old I sought to replace them. However! The new ones with the velcro back do not work. I have a small foot and ankle but could not even get my foot into the front of the sandal which no longer stretches and the Velcro does not reach far enough. These are an unfortunate follow up to the original and were returned immediately

These shoes are extremely comfortable with and without socks. Best summer shoes/sandals ive ever worn. I like the covered toes, the excellent arch support, great ventilation and wide toe bed. They dry quickly andcare perfectly comfortable when wet. I’ve just ordered a second pair for when my first ones wear out. I did have to order larger than usual by 1/2 to one full size.

I tried multiple pairs of ‘activity sandals’ and while these were the least pretty of all I tried I’m So glad I chose them. They are super comfortable and have great arch support

These fit true to the size I wear in Keens and since my feet are each a bit different in size I like the back velcro so that I can tailor the fit.

I read the other reviews and ordered a 1/2 size up. These are perfect!

I have worn these for about a week now, and I like the adjustable back strap. The shoes are very comfortable and have a pretty good arch support, which is better than the old Venice 2 style. Definitely size up a 1/2 size on these. These are a keeper. Thanks Zappo’s!

they are always comfortable from the start. the fabric is more flexible and doesn't rub anywhere on my foot. not crazy over the velcro closure as you can easily slip your shoe on without loosening the strap.
