This bag is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it in the Chestnut color. I do agree with Jago review about the wierd packing. In a plastic bag shoved in a very box. Not like a normal Zappos purchase at all.

Great bag...(small to medium bag)I disagree with the reviewer who claims she can remove the crossbody strap. That strap is on permanently. I'm taking this bag to a sewing/cobbler repair shop to get it removed safely. Once removed, it is permanent. I only use the main handles anyway, so this will not be a problem for me. Just wanted to clarify for everyone. The chestnut color is gorgeous for Fall. I'm sure scratches will happen and stand out on this dark color. Cannot wait to use it.

I really love the style and rich ginger color of this bag; unfortunately mine arrived with a small scratch, despite the excellent packaging. I own many Dooney bags and this seems like it’ll be a great classic that’ll hold up over the years.

I saw a smaller version of this bag on another site, but it barely fit the model's wrist so I began searching for other options. Dooney & Bourke have 5 variations of the Amelie tote. This one is the second smallest, but it's the perfect size to fit your everyday items: cell phone, keys, flap wallet, sunglasses (in hard case,) even a snack. It comes with a long cross-body strap, which I will use for traveling, but for now I removed the center section to give myself a shoulder option. The ginger color is rich (see pictures against brown and grey leathers for contrast.) The bag is great though it did arrive with a few leather scrapes & flaws (zoom into front views.) The logo lock caught my eye immediately (I was debating between the Amelie & the Cameron, with zippers.) I thought I would like the duck side out, but I don't like the criss-cross background as much (zoom into pictures.) The most disappointing part was the packaging. It was not the normal high-end (extra tissue & ribbon for shaping & extra protection) that you would expect from Dooney. It came sloppily taped up in a plastic bag, and tossed into a narrow cardboard box with shipping tape. If I had cut any deeper into the tape, I probably would have sliced the bag. The presentation was more discount, like serving lobster on the underside of a garbage can lid. I'm not sure if that's a Zappos thing (but my daughter's Dooney Brielle arrived today from QVC and it met packaging expectations.)

I have many Dooney bags and this is exactly the perfect size. In love !

The clasp on this bag drew me in. Bonus-the inside of the bag has a similar clasp to hold thigs securely inside.

It was scratched and color is lighter than the picture. Also, it came in a bag instead of a box, which affected the shape of the purse.
