I was really hoping these would work out for my daughter's uniform. The style is just what she wanted, but when we got the first pair, they felt to small. I exchanged them for the next size up, and it was still small and she said it hurt. I think it is the banding on the top of the shoe. She definitely had room in her toes, but I could see that digging into her foot, even with socks on :( Too bad because Hush Puppies are really nice quality and comfortable. I'm returning both pairs now.

I bought these for my daughter last September to wear with her school uniform (indoors only). I was willing to pay a bit more because they seemed comfortable, and I thought Hush Puppy was a good brand. Unfortunately these haven't stood the test of time. She wore them last year Sept-Dec and a few weeks in March/April when schools were open to in-person learning. She wore them again Sept-Dec this school year, but her teacher sent her home with them because the sole is coming loose! I thought for sure we could wear them until they were outgrown before having to replace them.

It seems that size 6 Big Kid which I ordered is size 6 Ladies. The strap is rough on the skin. The type of leather is so so; it looks a lot better in the web page.

I, too, am an adult who wears "Big Kid" shoes. I also mustwear custom orthotics, always. This shoe is very shallow, too shallow for my orthotics. I was very disappointed and have returned them.
