One of the better shoes/boots I've ever worn. Size: 11 4E Pros: -Looks Great/Stylish, combines well with jeans and dress slacks -Just the right amount of tread on the bottom of the boot, some boots have this tacky amount of tread that flares out or makes the boot into a high heel. -Comfortable after a couple days or week or two, fits like a glove in the front -Boot-strings are pretty sturdy and soft, tucking them into the boot after tying them and they don't chaff -I appreciate the metal nut-like eyelets for the boot-strings (Good luck trying to break these) -I can't feel any stitching inside the boot, who ever designed or stitched the boot good job Cons: -There is a break-in period, I was worried that I would have to return the boot and try half a size up -The neck of the boot chaffs a bit above the ankle, wear longer socks to remedy, (Suggestion for the maker: Add a little more padding up there, it doesn't need much) -If and when you replace your insole look for some support and cushioning in the heel, it's a little loose in the back for me -The leather finish scuffs a bit easily, you probably want to touch up every now and again -Get moisture wicking socks -Only comes in the one color, while nice, would be interesting to see maybe a black or red-ish color Overall money worthwhile and worth spent. My recommendation for the break in period: Don't do anything high intensity till you've broken them in and found an insole that works for you. You'll only hurt yourself if you don't. Dunham makes some good boots.

I think they are a really nice boot and they feel well made but I don’t think I am on too many people’s top 100 list when it comes to giving fashion advice. My wife said they look good and my little girl called them my new “fancy” shoes if that helps. They look just like they are shown in the photos. The top of the boot hits just above my ankle bone. The leather was pretty stiff when I first put them on but after wearing them for a day they started breaking in really nicely and by day three they were very comfortable. I think this is fairly typical for leather boots. I wear a 9 1/2 in just about every shoe I own and these boots fit like my other shoes so I think they run true to size. I don’t really know how to judge arch support so I marked it as moderate. For context, I have medium to low arches and shoes with a fairly high bump under the arch are uncomfortable for me.

This is my second pair of Dunham Royalton Chukkas. I bought the first pair in the fall of last year as a fall/winter/spring recreational boot. Loved them. But when I pulled them out of the closet for this year, I discovered that the inside leather just above my right big toe had warped downward making the shoe unwearable. I've never seen anything like it. Bummer! Contacted Zappos and to my surprise they offered to swap them for a new pair--this after I had them for nearly a year. Hopefully that was just a one-off issue because I really like the way these boots fit (12 4E) and they provide great support for slogging through puddles, mud and wet terrain. Kudos to Zappos for going above and beyond in their customer service.

Great style for a light weight, yet sassy men's boot. Dress it up or down they go well with jeans or slacks. comfort of a sneaker, yet way more style. Also bought it is suede.

Fit and size were great for me, I wear orthotic inserts and had plenty of room. Minor issue with the break-in , the top outer leather rubs on my ankle, have to be careful not to wear a hole in my leg, once finish breaking in and getting my feet used to Chukka boots vs 8 or 9" boots they will be fine...also helps to wear socks at least for the break-in period.

I tried about 7 different brand of boots from Zappos and for me these were perfect. They are sturdy but feel light on your feet with plenty of support. They are super comfortable and are the dressier side of casual. Great boots that can go from outside jobs to dinner out.

Ok this boot is very comfortable but its stiff around the ankles. Im a 14.5 but I ordered a 15, If you have skinny feet like me do not purchase this boot. Their is ample amount of wiggle room in the the whole boot especially in the ankle. Overall great looking casual work boot/ casual style but not for skinny feet

I've been wearing a 9, but 9.5 felt best. Most important, the EE really was EE! Wore them around house until I felt sure, and enjoyed them out in the world for their first full day.

Out of the box these are one of the most comfortable boots I have put on. I was in need of a pair that would be able to go with jeans or to the office for business casual, found 'em!

My son (13 years old) has wide feet so we were happy to find a boot that did fit comfortably. I ordered a 4e for him. They don’t look noticeably wide though, so they are attractive and not “orthotic” looking. He liked them! Leather is nice and the quality seems good. He preferred this brand over some Rockports I also purchased for comparison.

I am 11.5 4E. For this model, I had to swap down to a 11.0 4E, which is perfect.

Gréât looping shore and confortable

Love the look and the fit. I have wide flat feet with a high instep and these (12 4E) feel about right. Only giving a 4 star on comfort as only worn them around the house so far, to be sure. The top of the boot does hit just above my ankle so I’ll have to see how that feels after some real world walking. I’ll update this after that. I’d recommend them.

While my husband thought that he needed a size 4E, this proved to be too generous. We decided to return the boot and try a 3E (had to order a different model, as this one is not available in 3E). I think he would have gotten this one in 3E, had it been available. The boot looks really good and does not appear "clunky" or look overly wide (even though it provides ample space for those in need of more room).

My husband liked this boot but it felt a bit narrow and had minimal padding around the collar.

Every foot is different, but my experience with this boot is that it definitely felt large for its listed size, both in width and length. Think "roomy plus", even with good warm socks. I like the way they look and they seem to hold the water out reasonably well. We'll see when I take them up to the Pacific Northwest in a week for a real test. As other have said, not a stylish boot. But if it is really waterproof, I will be happy with it.

I returned the product. I was unable to place my feet into the boot due to my instep. The tongue of the boot was positioned improperly for someone with a extra large instep. Overall the boot looked very good

These are beautiful boots until you stand around in them. I don't know why shoemakers are building so much upward curve into the toe area. The toe is raised over 1.5 inches from flat putting a lot of consistent pressure right at the distal part of the metatarsals and base of the toes. This was causing me numbness in this area and in my toes. It's a shame, I wanted to like but couldn't wait to get out of them and send them back. They're torture devices.

The trend of building excessive toe spring into shoes has got to stop. What are the shoe companies thinking? This is a great looking boot that is not wearable. The excessive toe spring (to the tune of 1 to 1.5 inches left my toes numb and my feet aching. I returned them immediately. Total junk.

These are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I have ever bought. There is no padding at all at the top of the boot, and the leather there is reinforced and very stiff. I wore them around the house for a few days to break them in and they were fine, but when I wore them all day in the city they cut into my ankles /calves and wore them completely raw. The pain was intense. I can't imagine anyone wearing them comfortably.

I am so disappointed. These are cheaply made, chemically smelling boots! As far as comfort is concerned, rub the area above your ankles with sand paper for a couple hours before trying them on.
