I don’t know what Dr Scholls considers a wide width but I couldn’t even get my foot into the boot and I usually take a standard W width.

I purchased a wide width shoe, which I've always done from any brand, but this is the most narrow and flat "wide" I have ever tried to get my foot inside of. Aside from the width in the toe space being so narrow, the shoe itself is very flat (not tall enough) to be comfortable on the tops of the toes or the top of the foot. Oddly enough, the ankle space is extremely wide, so there is no ankle support, but your toes will be bunched together, crushed down, and if you do keep the shoes on, you'll have to stay off your feet, otherwise you'll feel your pulse in your feet.

The shoe was ordered wide width and a whole size and half larger and the shoe was still much to small for me.

I ordered the wide because I like a little extra room in my boot. I checked to make sure the boot was in fact wide, and it was. I don't wear wides in all my shoes, so I don't have a "wide" foot but these were too narrow even with thin socks. They're so cute and I had high hopes but Dr. Scholl's got this one way wrong!
