Wow! These boots are gorgeous! I am usually a Frye girl, but haven't been happy with the knee boots they currently have out, since all of them have been so large around my calf that they sag around the ankle. I thought I'd give these babies a try. I got the taupe rustic and they look just as pictured. You can smell the quality leather the moment you open the box. However, these boots run sooooo small. I had read multiple reviews of other Bed Stu boots and most said the footbed ran large. Since I usually wear an 8 but can sometimes wear 7.5, I ordered the 7.5 and could barely cram my foot in with a thin sock. I've just reordered a full size up, so we'll see if the 8.5 works. Surprisingly, although many knee boots out right now are too large around my calf and the area above my calf but below my knee, these were way too tight in the shaft. I couldn't even zip them up above halfway and bits of my calf muscle were sticking out through the un-zipped zipper. They are such cool boots that it's worth it to me to see if that larger foot size will also have a larger shaft. No shaft circumference has been provided in the description, but my calf is 13 1/2 inches at the widest part so these boots certainly will not be for those needing a wider shaft. For bird-legged girls (jealous) these will be fantastic!

Beautiful boot. Adjustable for my 16" calf. I wear 81/2-9. Ordered 91/2. The fit was fine except for cramping of little toe. I have other boots that are perfect fit, so let these go for someone else to enjoy. Thank you, Zappos for quick delivery and for making shopping fun and easy.

these are gorgeous - really high quality but I am 5'6 and they landed right at the knee so it was uncomfortable to walk. The ankles were a little stiff too. Too bad, really nice boots.

LOVED the boots, but they were just too tall for my short legs. :( The top of the boot hit about mid knee instead of a could inches shorter like I prefer. IN case it helps someone else - My measurement from the top of the foot to the top of the boot on the leg was a little over 17" on a 9.5.
