They are too big for my son, but he still loves them! He needed a size 2.5 but they were out of stock in the blue color, so I ordered a 3, hoping they would still fit. They were too large but I put them in the closet and one of my boys will fit into them at some point. I re-orderes a 2.5 in the black/neon green and those fit much better and he still loves the color. They have very good grip and my son loves the color.

These shoes have held up ok with an active young boy. This brand seems to fit the best & usually last for the 6 months or so he stays in the same size. These might actually hold up well enough to be passed down to little brother.

My son loved the look of these shoes but I do not feel like the thin sprayed "vinyl" toe protector will last long - they look like they will peel off pretty quick with the way my son plays every day... not willing to risk the damage.

My son wears a wide shoe, which is what we ordered. The shoes are lovely and my son was super excited to have them. At first glance they looked too much like "regular width". Suspensions were validated when he couldn't even put it on. It was entirely too tight/narrow for his foot to go in. We're sad that we will have to return them.

The shoe looked great and my son loved them. However, he has wide feet and even the wide was too narrow. This did not run as wide as a traditional New Balance wide runs. We had to return as they hurt his feet just from trying them on.

The least durable shoe we've ever owned!
I was very excited about this shoe when it arrived - it looked great. It was so comfortable for my sons slightly wide foot. (We got the wide width). Unfortunately, the shoe didn't hold up at all. So disappointed! The tread (which is shallow do begin with) wore off in less than four weeks. And this week, the fabric portion on the front of the shoe completely detached from the rubbery section near the laces - literally separating the top of the shoe into two parts! The shoes are seven weeks old.

I was really disappointed with the quality in this shoe. I bought these in late August for my son to start school. By October the whole plastic sheath that covers the toe box had completely detached. I tried to glue it back on but that didn't work because the material underneath is flexible mesh. Kids shoes should be able to last more than a couple of months! We are so sad about this because it's hard to find wide shoes for kids, and we have bought NB for years now. But we have had 2 in a row destroyed in a few months, so we are switching to another brand.

I purchased the sister of this shoe, the Electric Rainbow 200 Running shoe for Christmas last year. My son loved the shoe it fit great and looked good. However, after minimal use by my six year old son it began to fall apart. The spot where his heel was wore a hole through the padding and into the rubber part of the shoe, making it uncomfortable to wear. The front material began to fray and the rubber front part began to peel apart from the shoe. This was not the cause of excessive wear, washing or "being laced wrong." I did call customer service as it was less than six months of wear. They asked me to send them back and they will then make a determination about a refund. I have to pay for the shipping to return and I am not gaurenteed a refund. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the shoe and would not buy this one again. Wish the review would allow me to add pictures so I could show the poor quality.
