I love the classic look of these boots, and I was so excited when I first bought them, and through the first few months of wear. After wearing them consistently through one Portland winter (mostly rain with a couple days of snow), the soles had lost a lot of their tread. Since the heel of the shoe is actually hollow, rather than a solid rubber heel, when they wore down there were holes that let water come through. This meant I could no longer wear them in the rain, which was really disappointing, and rendered them pretty useless for me. For the price, and when the description promises that you can "traverse cold, rainy or rugged landscapes and embrace the elements," as well as boasting "long life," I really expected to last more than one season.

I've had these boots for a little over a year now and mostly wear them in the rain and snow and I have to say I'm very disappointed with how they hold up in the snow. As soon as I step into the snow my feet basically freeze and eventually go numb from being too cold. Love the style of the boots but not worth the price.

I love everything about this boot, except its waterproof claim. I received these boots for Christmas of Dec. 2017. I wore them a handful of times between then and March of this year. Primarily in snowy weather. I thought I had imagined having wet feet every time I used them in wet weather, however I pulled them out yesterday for the first snow of the season, and my feet were definitely wet when I took the boots off after walking around in the snow. It says right on the sewn in tag on my boots "waterproof rubber boot" My boots are definitely not waterproof. I don't know if I got a faulty pair, but I certainly expected better quality from Sperry and I am pretty disappointed in my pair of boots, especially as they were purchased specifically for wet weather situations. I have other pairs of Sperry shoes that have lasted me years, yet I've worn these boots maybe 8 times, if that, and they are leaking.

I bought these hoping they would last like my other Sperry shoes however I was wrong. I only got about 2 winters out of them and I did not think a heel could split until my foot was completely soaked. The boot started to crack along the side of the seam and I have two holes on the bottom on my boot. I love Sperry products therefore I was disappointed I only got about 5 months over the last two years out of them.

I bought these boots about 15 months ago and the rubber part tore open yesterday and separated from the sole. This seems like an extremely short shelf life for these boots. I own several other pairs of Sperry shoes (both boots and boat shoes) and have not experienced this poor quality before. I expect better quality from Sperry. Very disappointed.

I love these boots so much because they're cute and I always get compliments whenever I wear them!! However, my feet always get soaked if I wear them in the rain. I'm bummed about the quality, especially because this brand is typically top of the line when it comes to quality.

I bought these boots after reading all the great reviews and because they are super cute and trendy. However, after wearing them while tailgating outside in the rain, I realized my feet were freezing because they were wet. You would think duck boots would keep the water out but unfortantely, that was the case. Otherwise, a super cute boot just not made for the elements.

I have had these boots for less than year and I wear them probably once a month. The lining between the sole and side of the boot have ripped significantly on both of them. They are great style, but the quality was subpar at best.

I loved these boots, and I love Sperry, which is why it pains me to give these shoes a poor review. I bought them last spring for the rainy Seattle weather, and they were great for a while. Super comfortable and cute. But after a few months of regular wear, the treads wore down on the bottom making them extremely slippery. Then the rubber on the top began to crack, letting water in. So I can no longer wear these rain boots in the rain. I don't believe these boots are worth the price tag, and in my experience, despite looking and feeling great, they are not the durable, long-lasting boots described.

Bought these in August of last year to wear as a cute cold-weather alternative to snow boots. They're adorable and very comfortable- however after half a year of casual wear the sole is splitting from the rest of the shoe making them no longer waterproof. I'm usually very impressed by Sperry's quality, my boat shoes have lasted me 5+ years now, but these shoes were not worth the price.

Really disappointed. Some of my daughters friends had these boots in college. Was tops on her Christmas list. Bought them for her to wear in the snow. She hadn't worn them, till today. Had the first snow- 2 inches, yesterday. She wore them for the first time today. College sidewalks and streets plowed. Just water from melted snow on sidewalks. She called and said her boots were wet inside, the liner along with her socks and feet. Love the zipper on the side for easy access. I wanted a pair too, but too much money not to be waterproof.

When I bought these they were comfortable, fit true to size, and definitely waterproof - just what I needed. They were fantastic for rain, snow, and cold days until the lining around the heel fell apart after only 6 months of wear; about half of the lining is worn off on both boots now. Without the lining, the top margin of the rubber cuts into the back of my heels terribly. I keep reaching for them on rainy days because they still keep my feet dry, however I'm always in pain after about a 5 minute walk and continue to be disappointed in how little wear these boots had for the price.

Loved these boots at first and wore them all the time! However, I've had multiple issues with damage to the boots. The stitching on the side of the shoe busted after wearing them once, though this was only a stylistic issue and I ignored it. A year after buying them, I'm considering buying L.L. Bean's boots because the heels on my Sperry's is completely destroyed. Water seeps into the heel and doesn't go away, so I feel like I'm stepping on bags of water all day. The worst, however, is the cracks in the rubber shoe box that makes my feet cold and lets water get in. Don't buy these unless you want to buy a new pair every year!

I bought these boots less then a year ago, but they already have a hole in them. They're such a cute boot and i'm devastated that already have a hole in them. However, I did buy them a while ago so the quality could have been improved by now.

I loved Those duck boots at first sight, but time proved they can not be relied on. I have had them for 1/12 year.and after only a year of wearing them only in winter, the heels started to wear off. There are holes under both heels and the sides are simply drying up, cracking and opening up where the sole and the boot meet. I went to see a shoe repair, but he told me there was nothing he could do because the whole boot was cracking up. I must say I am really sad about this. The look is great, you should try to improve the durability.

I bought a pair of these in September and LOVED them, they were and still are comfortable and warm. However it's now January and the treads are already wearing out, which makes them practically useless in any wet weather, especially snow and ice. I slip all over the place, so these guys will live in my closet. I wanted to invest in some good hiking/all weather boots and am disappointed by these. If you want boots you can wear longer than one season, don't get these.

This shoe was very comfortable to wear which was the selling factor for me. But does not serve its purpose. It is not suitable to wear during rain as your the water gets inside. Similarly not suitable for snow as well. Disappointed with the product.

I was excited to bust these boots out to walk around the city, post first-snow, after buying them a couple of months back, but was disappointed to discover that my toes became (very quickly) unbearably cold.

I bought these boots last fall and loved them! They are very cute, comfy and warm. However, after wearing them a couple of times this fall I've noticed that the rubber bottom half is starting to crack, like they are dry rotting! They aren't even a year old and spent the majority of that time stored inside in a closet. They were very cute but now they look awful and will be thrown away :( very disappointing.

I received these boots as a Christmas gift last year and I loved them! Unfortunately after wearing them for one season, the rubber started to crack/separate from bottom of shoe, thus causing my left foot to get wet in rainy conditions. I am disappointed because I love this brand, but know my family member spent a lot of money on them for something that did not stand up to its durability or quality as stated in description. Very disappointed.

I purchased some of these because of the good reviews I had heard about it and the quality of the products. Unfortunately I am very upset that when I used them for what they are made for, the rain, the water went through them. Not worth the price. Want a refund.

It's a good boot for areas that have a dry climate in the fall/winter with the occasional, light rain but not quite for Washington. It's durable but not as waterproof as I hoped it would be (got my toes and socks soaked walking around in puddles). :( I would size down if you want to wear thin socks or half a size down if you want to wear thick wool socks (I wear an 8 but could've gotten a 7.5 as I still have room even with my thickest socks on). Wish I could return the boot but too late! Absolutely love the style and comfort though!

I bought these shoes to wear for stylish use during the Midwest winters. Unfortunately, these boots didn't last me through one winter. I noticed that my sock was getting wet when walking through snow or puddles. Looking closer, I discovered that the rubber sole had separated from the rubber covering my toes. I took them in to be repaired but the store is unable to fix this kind of break. I am extremely disappointed that I invested in a pair of boots that did not stand up to their boasted durability.
