This review is for folks who are on the fence about the slim fit straight vs. the retro skinnys. I'm 5'10", 210 lbs, average build, doughy gut. I've been wearing Levi Slim Straight 513s for years. I read several reviews of folks saying the Retro Skinny Jeans fit more like a pair of slim straights and the Retro Slim Fit Straights were more like a relaxed pair. I placed 2 orders on Black Friday and received both orders the following Wednesday. I got 2 pairs of Retro Slim Straights, Saco and Belgrade, and 2 pair of the Retro Skinny's, Jeb and Richland. I completely disagree about the Skinny's fitting like slim straights-if you have just a moderate amount of junk in the trunk, you're gonna struggle squeezing into the skinnys. I like my jeans to sit low, but these are just way too low for me. I literally couldn't get my butt in them and my family jewels were screaming in agony. Def not slim straights for me. They did fit true to size though. I've been wearing 34-30s for a decade and they felt like a perfect fit as far as length and waist were concerned. Good n' snug in thighs, perfect boot opening. I love the Retro Slim Straights. BUT, different fabrics are gonna fit differently. I had the same experience with Levi's until I found the right fabrics. The Saco *5 stars* are a dark wash, nice and snug, and I'll be wearing them on the weekends when I'm out playing local gigs howling country music. The Belgrade *4 stars* are a borderline relaxed fit, but have a more business casual appearance. I'll be wearing them to the office with boots and a button up. Def not my go-to pair, but I'll utilize them despite their baggier fit. Both pairs of Slim Straights are comfy af. I'll def buy again, but I'll prolly seek a different fabric in hopes of finding a snug pair. Lastly, the return of the Skinny's was super easy. They emailed me a fedex label and I was never out any $ for shipping. Return posted to paypal in 3 days. Now, I'll just have to see how durable they are on a fat kid.

The problem is that Wrangler does not understand that 1/3 of the USA population are short people! When we try to buy the many Styles of jeans and shirts, they (Wrangler) do not have Our size 99.9% of the time! Making us the 1/3 of the population go else where to buy and more than likely never returning after being disappointed several times in a row, and me as one! I have Purchased Wrangler jeans for years and had to take my new jeans to a seamstress and have the inseam measurements corrected! Many people that ware jeans that I know never even look at Wrangler jeans because of this! A company that understands supply and demand and wants to get more Customers, should know that this problem exists in their products and probably correct for their turned away customers and bring them back!!! I feel this comment will never make it to anyone's ears or eyes for this to be taken SERIOUSLY! However I just had to get it off my Chest!

I bought 5 pairs of these in different colors and out of the 5 pairs two have lost stitching within weeks of washing and regular wear. One pair lost stitching on the right front pocket (I don't carry a clipped pocket knife) the second pair lost stitching in the seam at the bottom where they meet my boots. These are great jeans but not built like the 13MWZ's of the days past.

These are my hangin-out jeans, comfortable. I like the finish on the grey and the deep blue model (88MWZGR).. These are not the all cotton more durable versions but that's ok for running errands on a day off work. I need a few more pairs but 31:30 is hard to find.

Much like other reviews have indicated, the "slim" desxription isn't accurate. They are lose around the legs and thighs, and will require having a tailor fit them properly. Other than that, the quality of the jeans are equal to name brand jeans.

I just washed them two times, so they are new to me. Pants are great quality, very soft, color as shown on website. I ordered 33/32 which is my size for any pants. However they are not slim, baggy in butt area and in front. Wrangler please change description because they are slim, they don't shrink after I wash them. Overall they are good quality jeans.

I ordered four pair of jeans--two all cotton and two different colors of the 1% spandex. One of the 1% spandex had a small hole in the thigh. One of the two all cotton I could not get buttoned and the other fit perfect. That is, three of the four, all the same size, fit perfectly but something appears to be wrong with the pair that did not fit. I have gone through 8 pair of these jeans in the past few year, for the most part they hold up well. Definitely my favorite jean ever.

I purchased these jeans in my usual 34 Inch waist and there were too small. I have returned them for a larger size so we will see how the 36 waist fits. The dark lager color is a nice mix of dark blue and black.

Really like the Wrangler Retro' Slim Straight Fit jean but wish it was offered in a darker wash. Also would like to see fewer distressed features. I think the fading and worn areas are overdone. Overall, a good looking jean.

These are an up-to-date fit and I like these jeans alot. They are not as "slim" as you would think and can generally accomodate us "regular fit" guys. Lower waist is very nice. Only issue, they are not as long as a typical Wrangler. For me 34 inseam does not "stack" very much in this jean. Otherwise great.

I love the product fits great but they don't last a year the butt tears out and becomes unwearable! I feel paying the money I do for them they should back their product better! I have pants right now to send you pictures

I've been a loyal Wrangler customer for years, and they're hands down my favorite jeans to wear. I love the fit, look, and comfort, especially in the Retro Slim Straight cut. That said, I've had the same frustrating issue with two different pairs, bought nearly a year apart both developed holes where the rear seat pocket meets the rivet. I tried sewing them up, but as soon as one side was fixed, the other would start to go. The common thread seems to be the thinner, stretchier material used in this style it just doesn't hold up like thicker denim. While I still love Wrangler overall, this particular style degrades way too quickly, wearing out in less than a year of regular use. Hoping they reinforce this area in future versions.

I like the jeans though the fit is loose. I wear the retro on a regular basis and bought the same size I normally wear. It is very aggravating to have to pay a large company like Wrangler to return a pair of jeans. So much so I'll never buy from the online store again. I'll find it in a store or do without.

I love the fit and look of these jeans. However, I've had (3) pair rip at the back pocket rivet. No excessive wear/activity, and my backside is not a dump truck (size 33x34). C'mon, Wrangler, I know you can do better than this!

The pants were received crease pressed about an inch from the seam. I have a pair I bought years ago that has the same problem and it won't iron out and they hang poorly. On the positive side my return was processed timely. I also ordered a pair of the cowboy cut and like them very much.

The retros are very comfortable and are probably my favorite jeans but DO NOT expect them to last long they are very over priced for the quality of material over the last year I have ripped the back pockets out probably 7 or eight pairs. I don't have an exact number I just go buy more but I'm done with wrangler unless they improve the quality of their jeans
