The fabric has a great feel and stretch to it. The style is typical straight leg. What surprised me is that “Marilyn” jeans are smaller than “Marilyn” crops; I have new pairs of both. Thinking it was just my imagination, I got out my trusty tape measure. Both 4P have the same length zipper. Around the waistband (buttoned and zipped), the 4P crops were 32” and the 4P straight leg jeans were 30 ¾.” Around the “rear” area at the bottom of the back pockets, the crops were 37 ½, the jeans 35 ½. Marilyn crops fit me like a dream! Marilyn straight leg jeans feel like “skinnys” from the hip up.

Not as happy with this pair of NYDJ like I have been in past. The one I received was made in Mexico, older pair was from USA. Fabric a little softer which I don't like in a jean - I like firmness. This pair was not straight leg - looked more like a boot cut. Maybe this was because I needed the extra room (and a larger size) in the hip to be able to fit me so the calf area was larger too? I took in boot cut area with my sewing machine so now looks more like a straight jean. I've bought the Marilyn at least 3 times so I'm familiar with product.

I must agree with other reviewers who express concern over the inconsistency with sizing. I ordered these in a 14P, yet they were significantly smaller than the 12P. Not only were they smaller in the waist and hips, but the legs fit more like a skinny jean. The quality of the jeans is fine, but sizing is an issue.

I wear this style frequently, I washed them and tried to wear them. They are much wider in the legs than anticipated. Not happy, I'm wondering if these are seconds or knock offs.

The Marilyn is a solid style for NYDJ and these petite straight jeans fit perfectly, as expected. The width of each leg hem, however, is 1" wider than the 15" in the website description. Another pair of the same jeans, different color, does have the 15" leg width, so I'm keeping those and rate them 5 starts overall, comfort and style.

Way too long for a petite. Didn’t even come close.
