I'd never heard of this brand, so took a chance on both the quality and the sizing--and I hit the jackpot. The shoes are ADORABLE. I get heaps of compliments every time I wear them; they go well with both pants and skirts, so are terrifically versatile. They were also comfortable right out of the box: according to my step tracker, most of my work days I tend to walk between 5 and 7 miles, and these go the distance without any blisters or hot spots. My feet run narrow and I typically wear a 9.5, which can lead to some uncertainty when it comes to sizing, especially with an unfamiliar brand. I went with a 40 and it's perfect. If you're reading this review, you probably need these shoes.

Hello. This is my third pair of the Bardot by Spring Step. Seventh pair of the L'Artiste group. I love these shoes. BUT, this Navy color shoe is not Navy color. It's more on the Black spectrum. If you have to put a shoe under a light in order to call it the color it was named - does not make it that color. If I wear blue shoes I want to look down and see blue shoes. Disappointed with color. And for some reason the material on this shoe looks cheap!

Navy AND Black! The toe box and ankle area are a dark navy. The laces section is black. There. Cleared that up. :-) Shoes are comfortable, true to size, and easy to Walk in. Their vintage look makes them timeless; if I take care of them, I should be able to wear them for years.

Although they look black in the picture they are true navy. Great look and style

I love these so much!! My feet run wide and I generally wear 40 in European sizes, these are just perfect. Really nice padded shaped footbed with textured leather insole it feels like, so your foot won’t slide around too much inside. The design is slimming on the foot and the heel is a great height for wearing all day and not killing your feet. These are everything I want in shoes, including total versatility- work, fun, whatever. I’m concerned about the tan part getting stained which would be true of any shoe that color so maybe will scotch guard it.

These shoes are sooo comfortable! I wore them all day right out of the box and had zero problems. I even had to wear them once last week without socks (gross, i know) because all my super low socks were missing and still had no problems or blisters or even hot spots. They look great with a skirt or with pants and all the women and even some of the men at work were gushing over them. I don’t think they’re navy though...they’re definitely more on the black side. Wearing them with a black skirt doesn’t even make them look navy so I’m not sure why they’re labeled as such. I was worried about the fit because they seemed much smaller than my usual shoes but once I got them on and tied they were awesome. Would definitely 100% recommend. I even got a red pair because they’re so great!

I LOVE these cute vintage style multi leather oxfords! Every time I wear them I get compliments and they are such a fun addition to my fall menswear footwear wardrobe. I wear them at work all day and they are superbly comfy as well. Very British vibe- you will love them!

The size and fit of these shoes are one of the things I love about Spring Step L’Artiste brand. I never fail to get compliments. The shoes are always so cute and comfortable, the heels a perfect height for my 63 yr old feet

Good material, very well made. True to size, not too narrow, soft and comfortable from day 1.

I have weird feet and I don't evenly distribute pressure on my feet. These are the MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE I've ever put on my foot. I wore them for a retirement party, stood and walked for 2 hours, climbed stairs without any issue, and felt stable. For my girls who feel like a baby giraffe in anything more than a ballet flat, TRY THEM.

I haven't worn these yet, but I can't wait. They fit great. In this brand, I am either a 40 or 41. Based on reviews, I went with the 41 and am so glad I did. If you really want a true navy color, I wouldn't choose these because they really look black to me. They have great detail, like the awesome red stitching that goes around the outside of the toe box . Just adorable and well thought out. Zappos also does a great job with prompt shipping. I had to return an item at Christmas, which is something I rarely do, and that couldn't have been easier.

Been wearing for two years. Still look great and are very comfortable.

I really wanted to love these shoes! They are cute and well-made. Although a little busy, I found the black and brown would make them easy to wear with anything. These are the only shoes I've ever put on that make my size 10 feet look smaller! The toe looks oddly round in the pictures but it looked cute on my foot. The right one fit comfortably but walking around a bit in them the left caused me pain. I must have something weird going on in my foot but I was unable to walk without pain in these so they must go back :(

These are beautiful shoes and comfortable with thin socks (a little narrow on the top), however the color of the heel and toe is not navy. In the sunlight the leather looked teal blue which is not great to match my dress pants.
