I've only tried this new pair on with a walk around the house, but they're, by far, the most comfortable pair of Converse I've ever owned. The padding beneath the foot feels great. Yes, as with all Converse, the arch support is lacking, but that's something regular wearers expect, unfortunately. It's nothing a separate insert can't overcome. The true test will be the wet weather I expect to encounter on my upcoming trip, so the jury's out there, as yet. I purchased my regular US size, thanks to a chat with Zappos customer service, and that proved successful. And, as always, kudos to the Zappos team for the FAST shipping and purchase assistance.

I really wanted some cute waterproof shoes that I could wear in the rain/snow that weren’t boots. These are great for that purpose since they are waterproof but I had a few issues which lead to me returning them. I wear a size 7 1/2 and these made my feet look like clown feet. They made my feet look huge! Both in length and width. They have a boot-like lining sewn in which doesn’t stretch (even if you loosen up the laces) so getting these shoes on and off is a major hassle and takes time and a lot of effort. They are extremely comfortable once they’re on but for $130 I want shoes that I love 100% and feel confident wearing and these just weren’t the ones for me.

It’s a very heavy shoe - wider and clunkier than it looks. Feels a bit more like wearing a heavy duty rain boot than a sneaker.
