Didn't agree with prior reviewer on size or that it would take a lifetime to break in. Yes they are a much stiffer material due to the slicker effect but I do feel they will break in quickly. AND the size was a true fit. Unfortunately reading prior reviewer that it was much smaller, I ordered a size up and they were way too big. The shoe has a retro look, very "Avengers," for those who are too young google it. Love the look, love the boot, doubt you'll see yourself coming and going in this beauty, but you will catch a lot of admirers.

I love the look of these shoes, but they were so incredibly uncomfortable! The leather is indeed extremely hard and stiff with absolutely no give...every time I took a step forward, the leather wouldn't bend and would cut into my leg at the top of the shoe (and I have skinny legs/ankles, so it's not a tightness issue). Not sure the shoes would actually "break in," but I could barely go 10 steps in them before having to take them off.

These boots are fantastic looking but they are sooo stiff and heavy. And even for Shelly's London, which run small, these are small. It's too bad but they were like bricks and it would take 10 years to break them in.
