I now have eight pairs of Mephisto shoes. I am quite pleased with each pair-Jerome, Ludo, Mick, Rainbow and Rodrigo in particular, however the sizing tends to vary from style to style. I found the Mick shoes (I liked the first pair so much that I bought another in a different color) to feel a bit large at first but, after several hours of wear, they feel just right and true to size. There isn't quite as much arch support as in other models (for me, the Ludo is the best and most comfortable model), but still as good as or better than most any other shoe on the market. If I thought that there wasn't adequate arch support I would get custom orthotics because I really like the looks of the Mick, but that isn't necessary.

For starters, i have worn nothing but Mephistos for almost 30 years, and in my opinion, they are the most comfortable and best shoes in the world. And one chooses removable orthotic shoes generally, so that you can use custom orthotics. I have no idea why one reviewer would complain about the removable insoles—-mine get tossed! I popped my custom orthotic insoles in and the shoes are amazingly comfortable. I owned about five pair of Mephisto Match shoes which had removable insoles but they no longer do. So i just bought a lot of new Mephistos, and love them. And they will last for 20 years! Finally, i chose blue in this case, and i really like this style, the color and the shoe. Plus they really go well with blue jeans! So, its five stars from me, and a Meohisto sale was helpful too.......i got three pair here (2 Kristofs)..good prices & great shoes.

I really like the fit, feel and appearance of Mephisto shoes. The Mick is consistent with what I have come to expect: comfortable and very attractive. For me, these shoes are true to size and width which is not always the case-some Mephisto shoes, such as the Jerome (another shoe that I really like) runs a half size large, others a full size large. As much as I enjoy the shoes, I have found that the purchase process for Zappos may be even better-I have dealt with several different customer representatives during successive purchases and found each has been outstanding in their job performance, courteous, friendly, informed and exceptionally helpful. As an aside, I like the first pair of Mick's so much that I ordered another pair in a different color!

These are great shoes. I have worn Mephisto shoes for 25 years and this shoe does not disappoint me in any way. The sole adds a lot of stability when walking on uneven surfaces and the general comfort of the shoe is very much appreciated. Add all of that to a shoe that most likely will last 15 years and it is a great deal.

The shoes felt comfortable and looked great but made a weird crunching sound when I walked.

The right shoe fit fine however the left shoe did not. the heel kept slipping and the shoe just felt larger than the right one. I like the style of the shoe but this was a uncomfortable shoe with the left heel constantly rubbing as it rode up and down as I walked.

this is a very heavy shoe with a very firm sole; the inner sole is characterized as an "air sole" but it it does not cushion significantly the shoe nevertheless, someone seeking a very firm shoe may prefer it
