During summer I wear the Mephisto Helen sandals and they are the only thing that helps my neuropathy and years of dealing with plantar fasciitis. I needed something for winter which is why I purchased these. I originally was going to go with the mephisto "Thea" clog but chose the yin based off reviews that the thea was too high and caused more pain for feet. I've been wearing them around the house and they are too hard. I compared the sole to my Helen sandals and noticed the sandals have a much thicker sole. I'm bummed I spent $150 on these and disappointed that the sole is so thin. Wish I went with the Thea clog instead. I'm a 9 1/2 in most shoes and purchased size 40. I would go up one size to make sure my heel doesn't hang over, but my arch lines up with these so a 41 would be too big. The width is standard medium with enough room in the toe box area

I ordered a 36 and 37. The 36 was too snug with a thin sock and the 37 was a little too big. The 37 fit with a heavy sock but then the arch felt weird. I typically wear a 37 in Naot and Birkenstock. I ended up returning both pair. Thanks Zappos for excellent customer service!

I loved these shoes! They are just to large so I need to exchange them for a smaller size. Loved how the shoe looked, the felt was nice and the shoe bed was marvelous. I tell anyone to order a pair of these, just order a smaller size. Tam

I am so pleased with this Mephistopheles Yin mule. The more I wear them, the more they lightly conform to my feet, which took about 2 days. Was a little concerned at first with arch placement being just a little bit off, but that issue resolved beautifully. I have a slender B width and these are perfect and really attractive, too! Usually wear a 9, ordered these in size 10. Can even wear socks with them :-)

I’ve been wearing Mephisto Helens after a doctor recommended them about 30 years ago. While living in Hawaii I bought one pair after another. I recently moved to a cooler climate and discovered I couldn’t go around in sandals all the time. This shoe is a wonderful replacement. The sole bed seems the same as the Helen and they were comfortable right out of the box. Took a two mile walk the next day and they were great. I wore them with socks.

These slippers are deceiving. They are wonderful to wear for about 3 months, then they stretch out of shape and become unwearable. The wool starts to rip around the top and that's it. I am on my third pair and won't order anymore. Waste of lots of $$$. I initially thought maybe it was. fluke...nope. Bad design....do not order these unless they are on sale.

I love these shoes and bought them for slippers. When I come home at end of day with my back aching, I put them on I feel so much better. They feel therapeutic. Had Mephlstoes like these many years ago and was thrilled to find them again. Thank you zappos!!

These felt clogs are the best! They are comfortable and have really great support. They are not clunky looking..I have gotten compliments on how nice they are...so so happy with them!

These fit really well. I was looking for clog like houseshoes. These have a firmer sole, much like birkenstocks. I originally tried the thea, but found them too tall. These are a good height, but slightly firmer than the thea. I’m a 6.5/7 and ordered a 38. My only complaint is I think I received a different color. I thought I was getting a lighter grey with pink inside, but received a dark grey charcoal color. Im ok eith the color, but check when you receive.

I have a slim foot, but still measure 6 1/2 or 7B. The 37 is perfect for me. It looks like I'm in the minority, but this is my favorite house-slipper/clog. (I tried the Thea, which has the same top, but is more cushioned. (Those didn't work for me. The longer I wore them, the more tired my feet became, and the outsides of my feet ached. Odd.) I like this harder sole, and slipperiness hasn't been an issue when I'm wearing them inside.

Felt smaller that other Mephistos that I own. Sent back.

An incredible well made mule. Only 1 problem: their sizing is not accurate. I'm a Euro size 42, which is a sizs 11, not a 41. They need to update their sizing system as all of the other Euro companies have done.

Heel was too low and it felt quite big. other than that, I did like it. Wished for a little more lift in the heel. Had to return.

Loved Birkenstock's Amsterdam and have been looking for a replacement. These are very similar except they have a leather lining over the cork footbed. As other reviewers noted the bottoms are slick. I ran my foot back and forth over the concrete walkways which appeared to help correct the problem. I have other Mephisto shoes and have been more than pleased with their comfort as well as the brand's quality service would buy these again.

These are the greatest! The sole is slick looking, and being in Oregon with the rain, I will use them as house slippers and wait for the dry weather to come before venturing out in them. I may order another pair for outdoors..

My rating are based on they don't fit for me. After trying these I'm still left searching for a pair of clogs / slippers which are narrow enough for my low volume foot. I purchased the Mephisto Helen sandals the same time. They are more narrow and the strap allows for adjusting the shoe to fit my foot. Nice footbed on either pair.

I had hoped that this slide would fit, but it was too big. I also realized that the sole was thin and might be slippery. Will be returning. I ordered a slightly different style, Thea, which also has a thicker sole. I ordered half size down from my usual 8.5, to 8, which fits quite well.

I thought these would be nice house shoes, my arches have been bothering me and I thought wearing these around the house could help. They are comfortable on the soles of my feet, much like the Mephisto Helen sandal, but the felt top is so scratchy! They made my feet itch within minutes so I had to return them.

VERY narrow. If you have a bunion, you won't even be able to get your foot in the shoe to try it on.

This is a really sturdy and attractive shoe, but the size was way too small. I could only get the first third of my foot into the shoe. Debating if I should try again with a larger size.

these are comfortable, the size seems true. However, the sole is so stiff and slick, that I would fear for my life wearing them. Going back.
