I got these shoes a week ago and have already tried them out in the desert and the mountains. I have pretty wide feet and always buy wide shoes, and these fit perfectly without any breaking in. Wide toe box, average heel, great tread, decent arch support, and they seem to be well-made. Even though they're not waterproof, I've taken them out in the snow and they kept my feet warm and dry.

I purchased this shoe, as I am a fan of Columbia. The style I usually get from Columbia, seems to be no longer available. I like the way it fits and it seems it will be a good replacement for the previous style. I always have a backup pair - so these are waiting in my closet for use. I have purchased this “style” of Columbia hikers for the past 15 years.

I have worn Columbia shoes (hiking boots, hiking shoes, sport shoes) for years. I usually pay more per pair than I did for these Crestwood shoes, but I wanted to try their "wide width." In addition, my older Columbia shoes were beginning to wear out (after a lot of use), so I needed to purchase new shoes. In the past, I have not had an issue with regular width Columbia shoes, but I recently bought thicker socks and thought the "wide width" would accommodate the socks better. I could use the new, thicker socks with my older shoes (regular width) even though my feet were slightly snug (but still comfortable). I bought this pair, and their width was less roomy than both of my regular width Columbia shoes from two years ago. In fact, the new Crestwood pair had a much smaller/narrower toe box than any Columbia shoe I had ever owned. Even with thinner socks, my feet felt cramped in both the width and toe box areas. I checked the interior labels to make sure the shoes were wide width, and the labels stated that they were. I also noticed that the shoe tongues were not attached on their sides like they had been on all of the previous Columbia shoe models I had purchased. This just made it more of a pain to put on the shoes, but that wasn't a deal breaker. I was very disappointed in the fit, but I thought I would purchase the same pair again just in case I received a defective pair. The second pair's width had more room than the first pair, but they were basically the same width as my old regular width Columbia shoes. The toe box on this one was tolerable, but not nearly as roomy as my previous regular width Columbia shoes. I returned the first pair and kept the second only because I needed a pair of shoes. I like the look of them, but the fit isn't my favorite. These shoes are definitely NOT "wide width." Perhaps next time, I will go back to the more expensive Columbia shoes, because these do not have the same quality as my previous pairs. I just hope that the narrower width and cramped toe box aren't the trend for Columbia shoes now, especially because I will need to find another shoe manufacturer if this is the case. Bottom line, I would not recommend this particular pair of shoes.

Because the covid numbers are up I won’t go to a post office to return these but they run SO BIG. They are wide and lose! The laces come undone too, I went on one hike with them and it was not smart! Zappos rocks though! They have an awesome return policy but I can’t utilize it these days?? stay home??????

Great traction on the loose rocks. Great price. Might buy a second pair to put away for when this pair wears out.

The shoos feels great and provides good ankle support. I had been struggling with foot and ankle pain with other hiking/ walking shoes. These shoes are more comfortable and provide great support.

These worked out perfectly!! They are almost as comfy as running shoes but felt more sturdy on the trail!! They were a slight bit big, but this was actually great since I can wear a pair of wool hiking socks and still not get any blisters!

These are great right out of the box - no need to break them in. They have enough cushion to hike through rough terrain without feeling it on your feet. They're durable and don't cause blisters. Definitely worth the price. I already had Columbia hiking boots, I just ordered these in the same size and they fit perfectly.

I wanted a pair of walking shoes that were not boots. These are comfortable & perfect right out of the box. I especially like the grippy soles for walking on surfaces other than sidewalks. My only complaint would be the weight of the shoes. I wish somehow the construction would remain the same, but with lighter materials.

These are some of the most hiking shoes I have put on my feet, not as stiff as most others.

My daughter has been doing 10 mile hikes. She has worn through two sets of tennis shoes in 4 months. We decided to get something comfortable and sturdy. These shoes are holding up well and she loves wearing them. She also has trouble with foot pain, she is now wearing these shoes all the time because her feet are feeling better. We are really happy we got these hiking shoes.

I really like these shoes! I bought them to use as hiking boots and walking shoes. They are very comfortable, but not very breathable. However, it is built really heavy duty so I don't think I will wear these out any time soon. The laces were plenty long enough and after wearing them while shopping one day, I didn't find any spots that rubbed.

I love this sneaker and it's my second purchase of this style. Last year's purchase had the sole start to come apart within a month or two of wearing them, but this pair is much better. LOVE THEM! Plan on buying forever, so would be nice to see additional color choices added at some point. Ya know, just for me! :)

Love Columbia shoes. I do have to order a 10 1/2 instead of a 10 but otherwise they fit well even on my narrow foot.

Perfect for hiking through the woods and moderate terrain. Like other reviewers, I think they feel a little wider than a running shoe, so for a snug fit thicker socks are beneficial.

I loved the style and comfort, but after one month the soles became unglued and started to separate from the shoe. I didn't want to return them because I figured they would be thrown out, so I spent the last year 'Gorilla Gluing' the soles back on. I love the brand enough to order again and hope it was a one time manufacturing fluke, but if they come apart again, will return.
