I have arthritis in my feet, occupational hazard as a nurse on my feet 12+ hours/day. Finding comfortable hikers has been an issue. I put these on as soon as I got them & wore them all day. They’re very comfortable, wide width with just enough room for a heavier sock, plenty of arch support & cushioning in the soles. Long story short, I love them!!!

I bought these for a hiking trip and they did their job marvelously. It's hard to find shoes to fit my weird-shaped feet, but these have a nice wide toe box and still felt secure on my narrow heel. My feet were comfortable & my footing solid over gravel, dirt, basalt, pumice, and sharp obsidian trails. I'm so glad to have found these shoes!

Shoes feel good. Better than I expected With not being able to try them before hand. Very comfortable. I ordered a half size larger then I usually wear to adjust for thick socks.

I usually wear a size 7 for open or slip-on shoes, but for shoes I want to wear socks with, I get a size 7.5 (wide if possible). My left foot is slightly larger than my right and the 7.5 wide fits the left foot great. It feels a little big on the right, but by tightening the laces slightly, I found the heel didn't slip any longer. It is hard for me to find boots and athletic shoes that are comfortable for me (just look at my Zappos orders and returns), but I immediately liked these (the price was right too). I think these will be perfect for my hikes with my dog.
I'd also recommend:
Sketchers, but I need to order a size larger (8 or 8.5) for this brand

I purchased these for my very picky husband. He LOVES them! I finally found a shoe that was comfortable right from the box. He was leery about the wide fit, as many shoes state that they are wide, and are not. These are just as listed. He wears these with a crew sock and they are comfortable.

I had to order 1/2 size up to get the perfect fit. These shoes work well with thick socks. I wore them for the first time on a hike this morning and they felt great from start to finish. At this point, I prefer the construction of these shoes rather than my Keens (too small all of a sudden after many years of being just right) and my Merrells (too much cushioning going on to be comfortable with thick socks). Here's hoping Columbia doesn't change their manufacturing approach now that I'm committed to their shoes. Seems to be the way things go these days. Arg....

Best shoes I purchased for hiking. I am a beginner hiker and I tend to loose balance while walking on trails. But this shoes has good traction and definitely a great choice for people like me. Also, it's easy to clean with water and looks great after every use. So glad I started shopping mine and my kids shoes on Columbia. Great products!

I wish I could have worn them, but the toe box was just a tad to narrow, even in a C width. going to try another Columbia shoe in a D.

Gift for wife - she likes them! She generally wears a 7, so I upped them to a 7 1/2. She says they fit perfectly, and if they were a half size smaller, when she wears heavy socks, which isn't unusual when hiking, they might be a bit snug.

I love these because they’re a cross between a sneaker and a low hiker. A bit sturdier (and probably a little heavier) than a typical sneaker but lighter than hiking boots. I do lots of walking including dirt trails that don’t warrant real hikers and these are perfect. Good fit and very comfy even first time out. Obviously not a running shoe but great for most any other activity.

Planning to go to a National park soon and needed some hiking shoes. Did a search and found these that come in a wide width. Just what I needed. Comfortable and no breaking-in period. Sole is thick enough that the bottom of my feet are protected from the rough terrain. I also appreciate the color, which is brown.

Bought a pair of Merrell MOAB and wound up coming back to crest woods. Might not get you as many miles, but for comfort and affordability you will at least get a couple 100 miles out of them.

This is my second pair of Crestwood hiking tennis shoes. They are so comfy, fit wonderfully and they work perfectly while hiking the Cascade Mountain Range and I like the way they look too!

It’s a little on the big side but it’s something I can deal with. I’d rather have it be big than small. It looks better in person. The colors are nice and bright and vibrant.

My foot has recently become "wide" after having babies and my older beloved hiking shoes no longer fit. I opted to purchase new ones and gave Columbia a try. I am really impressed with the fit and style. These are much cuter than my previous hiking shoes and have great traction. I would recommend these to other wide footed ladies.

These truly ARE wide shoes, with an arch that supports my big body well. It has been tough to find shoes other than work boots to wear when I need to be on my feet for 4 or 5 hours at a stretch, but these are great! My feet don't sweat from wearing tight shoes in these - they can breathe and the sweat can evaporate. This is what I have been looking for a very long time. Thanks for recognizing that big people need comfy shoes, too!

I normally wear 8.5. This 8.5 feels a little big, but I wear thick socks to fill some space. The 8.0 would probably be too tight, so be ready for a 'not so perfect fit' if you fall in between sizes like me. Otherwise, great shoe. I've worn them for about 18 miles worth of hikes so far - they feel very comfortable and they protect my feet from the mud, stones, stumps, etc. Good traction, and they looks great.

I originally bought the gray version about a year ago. So, when my daughter needed a new pair of hiking shoes, I offered to get her a pair of the Crestwoods because I really like them. Sh liked the gray ones better than the brown/pink, so I ended up buying the brown ones for me and giving her the gray ones. She will eventually out grow them, so I will end up with 2 comfortable pairs of hiking shoes that will last me for years! A win-win!
