Fit and size were a little better than the Redmond. Very comfortable to start with. After just 3 months the heel support is gone and the stability is poor. Much worse than the Redmond. Also seem to be noticeably hotter than the Redmond Waterproof.

Given Columbia's repute, I expected the description of 'waterproof' to mean just that. Unfortunately, not so. About the 5-6th time I wore them, albeit a rainy day, they let in badly after a mile or so. After a wo-mile walk, my feet were soaked.
After that I wore them only on drier days, but one other time walking in wet grass (no rain), they leaked as badly as they had the previous time.
I wish better luck for others, but buyer beware!

The minute you take the shoe out (I wear 10 and half, Wide), you know it's too small! I could barely get my foot in the shoe! Really disappointed with company!

Unnatural wear during regular use. Tread separation on sole within weeks of purchase. Mesh areas on top and sides of shoe lack durability. Returned the purchase after just a couple of months.

If you are looking for a waterproof shoe that is, in fact, NOT waterproof, this one is perfect. First wear in wet conditions...about 20 minutes in moderate rain and not submerged...my feet were soaked.

Initially ordered a half size too big based on other reviews, but returned for my usual size and those fit perfectly. Really comfortable shoes. Walked through my marshy back yard after rain and they stayed dry.

These are great shoes--very comfy though maybe a larger than 7.5 is normally. I am going to order a size 7 just to see which fits better, but I will go with one or the other. Pretty kind of rust color--not too brown, not orange--just a lot of pizzazz.

Seems like an extremely well built and durable shoe, but the 2E width, even a size up, was still narrower than my 2E sneakers, likely due to the more rigid construction. Would love to see this offered in 4E!

Not many size 14-EE hiking shoes around and these Columbia Crestwoods are well made, true-to-size, and comfortable. Haven't worn them in wet conditions yet but they're solidly built and good looking. I use Dr. Sholl's cushioned inserts as the included ones are way too thin.

Great hiking shoes. They arrived faster than I expected and everything about them was as advertised. They are a perfect blend for walking and hiking - they are comfortable enough for a stroll and tough enough for a hike.

The fit is great. Haven't had a chance to test the waterproof feature, but they're comfortable and didn't require too much breaking in to get that way.

I purchased my first pair of Columbia Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoes 2 1/2 years ago and they have been fantastic!!.. Being an older, bigger guy having good shoes and good footing are important and these shoes fill the bill wonderfully The waterproof feature has been very much appreciated on numerous occasions Sadly my original pair is getting tired so I purchased a new pair so I am better able to keep exploring!!..

Perfect hiking shoe. This is my 2nd pair after first wore through sole after 3 years of hiking and walking (used for dog walking when grass is wet). Stayed waterproof entire time. Very comfortable.
