I loved the idea of these boots. They are beautiful, and so well made. However, I am a very standard/off the rack size 6 and the size 6 was too small, so I returned them. In truth, I spend a lot of time knitting really fabulous handmade socks/and I wanted to be able to wear these with the socks that I knit, and not stockings or super-thin footwear. They were tight on me and not comfortable even with stockings, unfortunately.

Frye's Veronica Slouch 2 boots are stylish and hardy (like most of their products). I, unfortunately, experienced a factory mix-up and had to return these boots. The boots I ordered and received were marked size 9....but they were likely a size 6. I could not get my foot into the boot it was so small. I notified Zappos so their warehouse can pull these shoes from the market but it was a disappointment. I liked the style of these boots very much.

I'll be honest, I didn't even try these on. I was so bummed out by the poor quality compared to my other two pair of Fryes, which I had also ordered through Amazon and all were Made in Mexico. The leather was very thin, if it is even real leather, and even more thun in certain areas of the boot. All of the seams on the inside were uneven/ left large weird flaps of material and the single stitching down the back on the inside was already pulling loose. Compared the construction to my Veronica Short slouch and they just seemed so lame. I'm no shoe expert, but my first reaction was 'wow! These are total crap! I am not spending $300 on this.' Too bad. I've been pining over some tall slouchy Fryes. I recommend just going to a store so amke sure to get a shoe that will last for that kind of money.
