I love these boots. I only wish these would come in another option of a side zipper instead of the elastic sides.

These are the most durable, versatile boots I've ever worn. I can't recommend them highly enough. Worth every penny.

I absolutely love these boots! They are a little tight around the ankles but I find that to be a good thing because it keeps my foot in place while walking around long distances. These are definitely the prettiest pair of shoes I own!

I have been eyeing these for a while and finally got them and couldn't be happier. They are exactly what I was looking for! Not too low or not too high like many chelsea style boots. The leather of course is perfect too. I have a slightly wide foot and these fit me perfectly. I normally wear a size 9 and got a 9 in these and the fit is perfect. If you're on the fence about these, I would 100% recommend them.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for. I love the slightly distressed appearance! I bought them in the store and wore them for two days straight - lots of walking - and they were so comfortable. These are my 3rd pair of Frye's, and the 8 1/2 fits well, as always.

Great looking boot. They just didn’t fit well. They fit in length, but right behind the toe box there is a weird crease when I walk….and that crease hurts. They felt great if I was standing still. But since I can’t stand my whole life, they’re going back.

I bought these boots and was so excited to wear them but the sole is so slick I actually wiped out! Unwearably slick I will return them but am hoping a cobbler can fix the situation for me. Stay tuned otherwise...

these boots are truly beautiful. Frye doesn't disappoint when it comes to quality and workmanship. my usual size 6.5 felt a bit snug on my toes so i decided to go with size 7. i am still on the fence tho, but mostly bcuz the 7 feels a bit too loose and i hate when my socks scrunch down as i walk, which normally happens when i wear boots that are too big. the other thing that concerns me is the sole. it is very slippery and i almost fell just walking on my hardwood floors at home. this is why i rated 4 stars. i can't speak about comfort just yet because i have not worn them out for a good test run. i will definitely have to add a slip grip to the sole if i decide to keep them. and i just might exchange for my normal 6.5 at the local store and just grin and bear it while they break in. i am a big fan of Frye and own multiple pairs of boots/ shoes that have worn well and have lasted for years and years. hoping this classic boot will become part of my collection.

Excellent quality. Just a bit too basic and manly for me.

I bought these online after searching high and low for a black Chelsea boot that fits my wide feet. These fit the bill and were very comfortable in the width, however unfortunately I decided to return them because the shaft height was rising too high on my ankle/calf. I wear mostly skinny jeans and these come up too high to be able to comfortably/fashionably pull the pant leg over the boot (and the boots are too tight to tuck the pants into). I was very sad to return them, and overall they are a beautiful boot so I still recommend, just not quite right for me. The leather is nice and soft so I think they would probably break in quickly and be comfortable from the get-go.

So stylish. I always have pair of Chelsea boots. I’m very picky about the style of boots especially around the ankles. They are not loose around ankles ( I hate too loose ones because it makes my legs fat). The only problem is the outside of the sole. It’s very nice smooth leather , but slippery.

These boots are my first Frye purchase and I really like them so far. I brought them to a cobbler to have them re-soled for better grip, as the leather sole can be very slick. They've been comfortable to wear around on the weekends and the slightly distressed look on the slate color is really nice. I wear a 5.5 in normal women's shoes but always size up to 6 for boots, which these are so they are true to my usual boot size. The ankle opening is pretty narrow so unless you have very skinny legs and feet, make sure you're sitting down in order to wiggle and yank these puppies off at the end of the day. I used the Frye leather conditioning cream after about two days of wear and it evened out the leather and made it a nice rich color, all while smoothing over a few scuff marks. I would recommend these boots. PS - the leather smell is divine!

Beautiful, but not for me. The top of the boot is too narrow to have skinny jeans or leather leggings tucked in.

Frye tends to make long boots, imo. I don't know why this is, as its unnecessary. I have tried many a Frye boot, and found a couple I like. This is not one of them. Although it was pretty comfortable, and I like the low heel, I found the length of the boot ridiculously too long. More importantly, the style looked too masculine for me. I wanted a neutral Chelsea boot but still veered toward looking feminine.

I love this boots and really wanted to wear them. But it was very hard to put them on and off due to the tight finger loop. I don't have thick ankles and I don't have problems fitting my feet into any boot but these were hard to put on. I had to return them. But I love the leather and the style of the boot.

I love these boots. I bought them in the Slate color last September (9/19) and I love them so much, I bought another pair in Black. I took the new pair to the cobbler to have sole protectors put on and figured I would check my other shoes to see if any needed repairs ahead of this winter, and I noticed that my original pair of boots were starting to have holes developing in the heal cups--I believe I have worn through the inside leather liners. I called and emailed Frye since I have only had the boots for a year, and they are willing to replace the boots or give me store credit if I send the damaged boots back, but I do not want to start the break in process all over again (it takes a WHILE and I am still working on the new black pair I bought last month). Also, I had a cobbler put on lug out-soles last fall to make sure the boots would last longer and be up for more wear and tear, but that wouldn't be part of the replacement process. I was really hoping to have these boots for years and years to come and be able to have them resoled multiple times, but now I am not sure if it is possible to fix the interiors and I'm so sad because the leather on the uppers is sooo soft now. They have molded to my feet, can be worn through fields or polished up for the office, and I can easily where them all day and walk 3 -- 15 miles in them no problem. These boots are truly my go-to shoe for the fall, winter, and spring, and I guess I can hope the pair I just purchased will hold up better. Just thought I should give other buyers a head up. .

I'm usually an 8.5 so that's what I ordered in these and they were wayyyy too big! I was pretty disappointed with these as they were my first frye boot investment, I felt like they looked a little on the cheap side and the discoloration on the toe in person doesn't look that great. Unfortunately I will be returning these and going elsewhere for a good boot.
