There was nothing I didn't like about this boot. Evidenced by the fact that I have the shorter one from a couple of years. The reason I had to return this tall one at this time was that my feet have recently experienced injuries and normal "wear and tear"...that's enough information for all pending customers. I would love to have kept the red I ordered, but alas I could see down the road and they just weren't right for me now. If you are on the fence give them a try - they are wonderful boots. If they fit you well, just know that they are full of style and pizazz. And you will be glad you purchased.

This is my third pair of Taos boots. I have two pair of Crave and this tall pair. Love them! Extremely comfortable and very cute. Found they run true to size.

I loved these boots. Simply gorgeous! However, my feet did not. I have a number of foot issues and it seemed to exacerbate them. It was neither the length or the width but the drop off from the heel. I suspect I need more arch support.

Nice boot but euro size half size small. I have high arch & wide feet...I take a size 9 in boots but in euro sizes always gotta do 91/2 but These I ordered a 40 & they are Good! No breaking in. Thx zappos ...love the boots now I need the short crave & I tried this one on in store & this was a half size small too. Hope this helps & wide feet should be good for this style!

These are too narrow for me - I don't have wide feet and usually am okay with a medium width. I wear size 11 and love the look of the boots, but they are very hard around the heel and too tight and narrow.

Bought the size 42/US 11. Felt a whole size small- my feet hurt for a while after I took them off from trying on. Disappointed to have to send these back & not have the next size up available.

I'm going to compare these to the Chaco revels in case you are trying to decide between these two soled, slipper-like shoes from the same brand. They are significantly warmer than the revels but have less arch support. The arch support is maximized if you really batton down the strap but still less than I expect from a chaco shoe, more than I expect from a slipper. I have a low volume foot and these are more forgiving for different width feet. Both are difficult to get on/off if you are thinking of them as slippers (altho the revels have the crushable heel for slipping in). The rambles cover your ankle, the revels do not unless you pay the premium for the bootie. These are perfect as a camp shoe, house shoe, cold winter cabin shoe, winter gym shoe for in-between climbs, bringing in the trash bins, getting the newspaper, and even burly enough for a mild winter dog walk around the neighborhood. Good, thick sole, that feels thicker, more durable and more non-slip than the revel sole. I am a 9.5 in most shoes but require 10 in chaco sandals. In the ramble fluff, I would keep the 10 and strap it down tight as my toes hit in the smaller size. The 9.5 revels fit perfectly.

This boot is so comfortable I got a black and a red pair. They are classy, stylish and comfortable. You can’t beat that! Highly recommend!

I bought size 37 in color Smoke Rugged. (US Women's 6-6.5). I am a solid size 6.5 in boots (7 in slip-on shoes) and these fit perfectly! They are very comfortable and absolutely gorgeous! Every single time I wear them I receive many compliments. They are very versatile and super stylish. Excellent quality! I came back to order another pair in black and love them too, although this light coloring is my favorite.

I am absolutely thrilled by these shoes and cannot ask for anything better. I was afraid they might be too big because of the boxy toes but as I wore them around I realized they’re perfect. I don’t want to take them off. The only thing is they’re suede so I’m worried about weather protecting them but I want to get more in these other colors. I wear a size 7 and these are size 7-7 1/2 and I think they are perfect. I’m 5 foot two and they come halfway up my calf so they’re just the right height for being midcalf boots. I really like that you can adjust the laces to fit your calf muscle. If I wear my jeans tucked in I have to loosen the laces is a little bit so that they can zip. If I wear them with just tights, then I can tighten them. The heel is the perfect height and they feel great inside. I can’t think of anything negative about them except maybe the price, lol. They are worth the money but my boot budget is gone for the next few months! I’m gonna get the other colors.

So comfy right out of the box! I wore them to a Renaissance Faire where I was on my feet and walking around for hours and they felt awesome!

These are really comfy and true to size. Love the taupe brown color. They go with everything and seem like they’ll last a long time.

Like everyone says, these boots feel great right out of the box. This is my second pair of Taos boots (I have a short pair as well, in the burgandy color). These are absolutely everyday shoes for me in fall/winter. Warm, comfortable, and cute. They are the most expensive pair of shoes/boots I have ever purchased but absolutely worth it.

They fit great but they are a different color than the picture. They're actually more of a dark brown than the tan you see in the picture.

These are comfy right out of the box and they look killer! I have other Euro-sized shoes and boots, all 38s, but I had to go with a 39 in this one. I was worried about this boot being too narrow for my foot - I have a wide foot and high instep, so I prefer/need very rounded toe boxes. However, these feel great and leave plenty of room for my toes. I also have small calves, so tall boots often look sloppy on my legs but these do not. It's a great fit if you need a slimmer-shafted boot. Expensive but worth every penny!

Beautiful, very comfy, and so awesome!!. However, heel is a tad too high and leather too flexible for those with weak ankles. Hate to return them, but don't want to risk another sprained ankle.

39 is my true European size and graph indicated ‘true to size’ so I thought ‘no problem!’... after I ordered, I read many reviews stating size up and was disappointed there wasn’t a 40 available (I vary between 8 1/2 - 9).... when they came, I gave them a try... Perfect Fit!... Proclaimed ‘bootaholic’, embarrassed to admit this is my first pair of Taos... Needless to say, this a brand I will be hunting for! So comfy and quality is in top 5% And the Garnett color is gorgeous - not too red, not too rust and makes a classy statement!

So I’ll start by saying I bought the smoke color and the color is darker than in the photo. But they are still gorgeous. I have skinny feet and very slender calves and ankles and they fit me perfectly. I struggle to find boots to lace up lightly around my little legs and these are perfect. They are also lined with a super soft material which feels nice against my legs. Now I want them in black too. :)

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. Taller than ankle boots but not as high as typical tall boots. They are so comfortable and required no break in period. I am usually a size 9 in boots. There are a few reviews that recommend sizing up a full size, so initially gambled with getting a size 41- as I hate when my toes touch the end or if a boot feels to snug. But they were way too big. I exchanged for the 40 and I got a perfect fit.
