The boot fits a bit different than I thought it would. It is right to put on, loose in the foot, and loose around the ankle. I have had many other ariat paddock boots in the past but I would even suggest going down two sizes as opposed to my usual one.

Having high arches made the center zipper uncomfortable and hard to manage.

While nice looking, these shoes were short in the toe and incredibly stiff. They would not be comfortable to walk around in for extended period of times.

I have only worn this boot for less than a year. They are not used to muck stalls, so very little exposure to urine or other caustic agents. I was surprised to find my left foot feeling wet inside the boot after walking on grass with dew. I checked the boot later and found that, although the leather uppers were still waterproof, the edges of the sole to the leather upper were not sealed, or the seal had broken down. This is where the water was getting in. I was disappointed because my previous pair of Heritage IV waterproof zip paddock boots had lasted well over a year, and with heavier use. Ariat boots fit me very well, so I will be taking my current pair to a shoe repair shop to get them resealed, in addition to buying a backup pair of Heritage paddock boot that I will just waterproof myself.

The foot bed on this shoe was great - But the higher ankle cuff was uncomfortable.

My feet are a bit wide and even though these said they were a wide fit, I wasn't able to use them. I sent them back

The boots are less pliable, and nearly 1/2 size bigger than my previous pair of the exact same size and model. They are shiny though.

I couldn't get them zipped through the ankle, and had to return. They seemed a little stiff, but good quality.

Gave 3 stars because there is SO much room in the heel! The rest of the boot feels fine, but it's annoying my heel slides around! I love that it's waterproof, but would probably go for a different boot that has a better fit next time.

I made the mistake of looking to my old boots for the boot size, and the boots I got were too small. I measured my foot according to the size chart and I have ordered a full size larger. I am looking forward to getting them! The comment that they run small is because I used the wrong thing to size them. I have worn Ariat boots for many years.

Really liked the look of this boot, however the shaft is very narrow and tight on the lower calf. I normally wear a size 5.0 and ordered a 5.5 to allow room for a thicker sock. The fit was too narrow for a thicker sock and felt "awkward". Too narrow for a thicker sock, too big for regular socks and too tight at the lower calf. Stylish boot but disappointed in fit for the price.

I usually order the heritage III paddock boots but thought I'd give these a try thinking if anything they would be even better. These boots look great but feel much tighter around the top of my foot. I also found that the zippers jam up sometimes when unzipping because they get stuck on the tiny leather tabs that are lower than the zipper is. Also these take some breaking in and gave me blisters after one day of use. The heritage III boots were always comfortable the moment I slipped them on and didn't need breaking in. I'm hopeful I will love these after they're broken in but given the choice I prefer the heritage III boots. Still love Ariat boots!!!

Just got these . I've been wearing these Heritage paddock boots for YEARS When one pair wears out I order another. BAD NEWS is that with each new version the leather used gets thinner and thinner : so way less sturdy and wear out MUCH faster. These latest ones look borderline cheap. Good news is that these are a style you get in the rarely offered Wide.

I purchased these boots a year ago. I clean and condition them after every use. I unzipped from previous use and next time when I zipped up the claws of the zipper won't hold together. The zipper pully will slide up and down the zipper, but wont zip zip together any more. I Called customer service today to explain the problem and an associate just asked for my name, address, phone number and email. She then said someone will call me back. She was like a robot and had nothing else to offer.

I love these boots. They are perfect for winter riding. My feet stay warm and dry in them. They were comfortable out of the box...no break-in period needed. I wear a size 5 in a shoe and ordered these in a 5.5. The fit is perfect and allows for a thick sock. Perfect fit around my ankles. They are also stylish and can be worn for things other than riding or being in the barn. They would look great with skinny jeans or jean skirts.

This boot is very, very stiff. I went with the Ariat Paddock, much better fit. Also, these boots are very noisy - squeeky!

I have consistently worn a size 7 in a variety of Ariat boots over decades so I expected my new Heritage IV paddock boots to fit. I brought these shoes to the barn before I tried them on and they were the only boots I had to ride in. I was shocked at how big they were but I wore them so that I could ride. Ordered a 6 1/2 but they were too small. The size 7 boots fit another rider at the barn who typically wears a 7 1/2 in Heritage IV paddock boots. Since most people at the barn wear Ariats, we are spreading the word about the change to this style and warning others to be careful and be on the look out for sizing changes or other unexpected features.

Totally Disintegrated. Cracked leather on top, blown out toes both shoes, tongue fell apart. I wear these 2x week and I'm shocked how poorly they've held up. I've barely had them a year.

I used to love Ariat, but these boots confirmed what I had been warned of, quality has gone downhill! I wear these 1-2 times a week, and, despite taking care of them, they have totally fallen apart.
The leather on the top of both boots has totally cracked in several places, the outside of the toe has blown out on both sides, and the tongues of both boots is ripping apart day by day and falling into itself. I've barely had these a year and I'm shocked how easily they fell apart.
